De gastvrije ontvangst en de uitleg over de geschiedenis van het kasteel. Erg leuk dat we overal mochten rondkijken. We kregen zelfs spontaan een kamer-upgrade. De locatie is charmant en bijzonder dat je je echt in vroeger tijden waant met het comfort van vandaag. Prima ontbijt. Goed bed. Goed badlinnen. Uitstekende totale service met persoonlijke tint. En de aanrader voor restaurant Buitenrust (Hoensbroek) die we kregen was top, heerlijk gegeten.

Het enige minpuntje was dat de sterkte van het WIFI signaal niet optimaal was waardoor we toch gedeeltelijk moesten uitwijken naar mobiele data.

Historisches Landgut "Kasteel Terborgh" mit viel Charme und Ambiente. Wir hatten mit dem erweiterten Familienkreis vier Zimmer gebucht, jedes hatte seinen ganz individuellen Stil und Ausstattung, alle waren sehr zufrieden. Super bequeme Betten, modernisierte Badezimmer. Sehr gutes Frühstück in fast familiärer Atmosphäre, gute Kaffeemaschine (Vollautomat Kaffee/ Kakao/ Tee) abends kann dieser Raum von allen Gästen als Aufenthaltsraum genutzt werden, große Auswahl an Getränken, unkomplizierte Selbstbedienung mit Strichliste zur späteren Abrechnung. Sehr schöne hügelige Umgebung mit Weiden und Wald. Um die Ecke am Parkplatz nettes Ausflugslokal "Gasterij Terborgh" mit schöner Terrasse und gemütlichem Gastraum, allerdings schließt es abends recht zeitig. Bis zur Stadt Maastricht dauert es mit dem Auto circa 20 Minuten.

Da fällt mir nichts ein.

Locatie was erg mooi. Wandelen in de natuur was direct vanuit de accommodatie mogelijk. Hartelijke ontvangst, goed ontbijt. Het was geen probleem om voor ons het ontbijt extra vroeg te verzorgen.

Geen echte verbeterpunten

The location, attention for detail and hospitality offered by the host and his wife were nothing short of excellent and impressive. The location itself, the facilities, the history, the renovations were simply breathtaking. It was a real pity we only had time for a short stay. I would have loved to spend some more time here (which we are certainly going to do in the future). It was a wonderful combination of sincere hospitality and breathing down on you quite pleasantly. Items which needs the "modern touch" like bathroom and stuff do really have that, state of the art! Rest is all wonderful history, great combo! I liked it at least.

Well, the location is wonderful but not a lot to do in the direct vicinity. Would be great if the nice pub/restaurant directly next door would have more accommodating opening hours. Also a minibar at the room perhaps for late(r) evening for the same reason

Communication prior to arrival was difficult

This castle gives you the true experience of living in a real castle as the owners have carefully preserved the character of this timeless beautiful property. I have stayed at many castles and palaces around the world but most of them feel very standardized and commercial, whereas this property feels like your own little kingdom. One needs to understand that this is an 800 year old property so it cannot be perfect like a modern hotel but the owners are very lovely, enthusiastic and caring people who will go out of the way to make you feel as comfortable as possible, and such an attitude is what makes staying here all the more special. The landscape around this castle is like heaven, it’s a dream that cannot be captured in pictures and such beauty needs to be seen and appreciated with your own eyes. The owner gave us a private tour of the castle explaining it’s deep history. It takes a lot of courage and hard work to run such a Hotel and we are highly appreciative and thankful to the owners who “offer” such an experience that one would remember for the rest of their lives. We had the most beautiful suite with lots of antiques and paintings and a stunning view outside, and despite being old the room’s character was meticulously preserved but the best part was the Bedding, it was extremely comfortable. After staying at this beautiful castle we feel very very spoilt and would definitely be going back for a longer stay next time.

There is nothing not to like about such a beautiful place, it was an experience we would never forget.

Terborgh Castle is fairytalelike. You go back in the time of the Buckriders and dungeons. A unique experience that is recommended to everyone who wants to visit South Limburg.

WiFi did not work in dining room and library Breakfast a little late for a business trip, So some agenda management required, which is more than okay

very friendly and helpful owner’s! Beds were also very good. Surroundings are beautiful, we made a nice walking trip directly from the accommodation.
