Had a wonderful stay on Kauai! Property met ours needs perfectly, it was a multigenerational family vacay. Within walking distance to Poi Pu beach and Brennecke's Beach. Would highly recommend this property for larger groups. Off street parking too.

This is a lovely, well-appointed and well-managed vacation home for a big crowd (we had 9 adults and teens). We had previously experienced a really bad condo rental situation on a different Hawaiian island, so it gave us great confidence that this would be a good experience when the management was very communicative and sent multiple messages prior to the trip. They sent us access to a digital Guestbook with all the details about the property, check-in and check-out procedures, etc all in one place for us to access before and during the trip. To be honest, we were a little nervous that the house didn’t have air conditioning, but it wasn’t a problem at all. The sliding doors and windows were always open when we were home, and the constant ocean breeze kept the shared living areas very comfortable. The 3 bedrooms that didn’t have good air flow had a/c units, so sleeping was comfortable for everyone. We had access to the neighborhood pool and tennis courts (5 min walk from the house) and multiple beaches (10 min walk from the house). The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking necessities and plenty of dishes/silverware for a big crowd. The photos are accurate, the furnishings are recent, and the beds were comfortable. The house has multiple lanais, and we spent most of our time at home eating or lounging outside. Highly recommend this house for a Kauai south shore vacation with a big group.

The home was very clean and welcoming, and the location was perfect for short walks to the Poipu Beach area. Of the five bedrooms, three could be considered "primary" or fairly equal, and two are definitely less appointed. Management was friendly and responsive to some problems we encountered, however follow up was a bit slower. Overall it was a good experience to stay there.

Our family of 9 including 2 kids (3 1/2 and 16 months) had a great week at the property. The 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms worked out very well for us as a multi-family unit. Enjoyed the wrap around lanai and multiple places to enjoy each other's company or be solitary. Appreciated the provision of a portable crib and high chair. Beach chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards were provided. Management was very responsive to questions. The location was an easy walk to Poipu Beach with great kids beach and a quick walk to Shipwrech Beach in the other direction where we enjoyed multiple sunrises on the Maha'ulepu Heritage Trail. Great location for excursions to the West side, Waimea, as well as to the North side, Hanalei Bay and Princeville. Would definitely stay here again.

this house was split so you could rent a one room, a small suite for two, two bedrooms and a large living/dining/kitchen area or all of it! The outdoor lanai's were spacious. A 10 minute walk to the beach. Close to quaint shopping and restaurants. Located on the "sunny side" of the island. The management was amazing with continued contact before and through the whole journey of the rental. The only things that would have been better, is if all the lights and fans switches were labeled, it would have been perfect for the average family. Note this is not handicapped/elderly friendly.

Amazing house minutes from all the beaches. Great common areas for hangout with fa ily and game night. Would come back again year over year. Do yourself and your family a favor and book this place vs. Hotel rooms. The staff are amazing too. Great communicators, easy and painless check in and check out process. Available for questions upon demand and if they miss your call, they call you back within 5 minutes. Can't say enough how easy the staff make this trip for us.

Good place for family. Had a failure with 55" TV but was corrected within 48 hours. Lighting in main living space made it difficult to read on rainy evenings. Beach and pool access was more than advertised - e.g., 20 minute walk. Getting rid of garbage from previous renters was an immediate challenge. Weather made for more days / evenings at house.

The property was even better than we expected. It is very organized, clean and we had everything we needed for meals, beach time, etc. We would totally rent again if we get back to the island.

This is a lovely property conveniently located to poipu beach. This is our second stay here and we loved it.

We enjoyed the house and it was great for our group of 8 people. I did mention that one of the air conditioning units was not working but we just dealt with it because there was a nice breeze. I was a little disappointed that no one came out to fix it, but otherwise the place was perfect. Close to everything.

When we first arrived the windows and doors were all shut and it was very hot inside. Once we opened the doors and windows the home cooled off quickly. My adult children really enjoyed the apartment and efficiency bedroom in the lower level and the master suite was very comfortable. The other two uper level bedrooms were on the small side and did not have space for hanging clothes. We were able to enjoy the lanai even when it was raining and also had plenty of sun on the front lanai. It was windy for most of our stay and with the windows and lanai doors open, we did not miss the air conditioning at all. Over all it was a very comfortable place with plenty of room to spred out for 8 adults. Some issues we had were that the owners car showed up and took up a parking spot, athough we we able to make it work. We also had a problem with two smoke alarms going off. One was in the middle of the night. I would have likes to have swept or dust mopped the hardwood floors in the kitchen and living room but we were not able to find a broom. When I asked the management for one she said housekeeping says there is one in the garage. I told her the only broom here is a big push broom and and little hand sweeper. She said she would double check with housekeeping but I never heard back. We ended up having to use the hand held sweeper to spot sweep. Non of the issues were major and did not effect the quality of our stay.

Perfect location, perfect house for a family or group of friends. The second downstairs living area was especially useful for us - 2 families. Great layout and combination of indoor and outdoor spaces.

A great space for a large group or multigenerational family. The house was clean and spacious, with comfortable beds, plenty of bath and beach towels, lanais all around the house, and a kitchen with everything you could possibly need. The property manager was responsive and helpful, and we had an all-around wonderful stay. Our only disappointment was that the pool heater was broken while we were there, so we weren't able to enjoy the pool and hot tub.

Soft Landings at Poipu, Kauai was the perfect house for our family of 8; 5 adults, 2 children, and a teen. Every thing was provided for us, and we only had to shop for food for a week. Everyone had their own space and bed to sleep each night. House was situated perfectly for a quick walk to the beach, Brennecki's, Kalapaki Joes, and Puka Dog. Sunset from one of the balconies was a nightly ritual for our family. I highly recommend this property for the perfect family vacation on Kauai.

We had a wonderful time. The property provided lots of indoor and outdoor space. We enjoyed cocktails on the back deck and sunsets on the front deck. The house was well equipped and comfortably furnished. The location is perfect. We could walk to beaches, restaurants, the pool, hot tub and tennis courts. We spent days on the beach- even did some surfing. We had a problem with the dishwasher and management responded quickly and stuck with it under the problem was fixed. I highly recommend this property. It could use a couple more wine glasses- hardly a complaint. Thank you for a wonderful family holiday.

This was my immediate families first trip in over 10 years, with everyone and their families going together. We had a rather large group of 14 ranging from ages 67-10 months. This home was more than we could have asked for, for the week that we stayed in Popui. The location was right around many of beaches, trails, entertainment, and some of the best food around. Our week was filled with daily activities so we were out and about alot, but the best part of the trip was at night, sitting with all of the family members in this beautiful home listening to the nightly rain we got all week. The floor plan worked out perfect for us, families with young kids slept downstairs so that they would not get bothered during their naps and early bed times. The upstairs became the hang out, with nightly game competitions and unwinding from the busy day we had exploring the beautiful island of Kauai. I am an avid golfer and although I did not get to play Popui Golf Course, it was walking distance away and I was able to check out much of the golf course but was only able to dream of playing, I was one of the families with the youngest kids. The management of the property was great, they sent us almost daily texts to make sure everything was doing great. If you are hesitant on renting this place, do not be. It was so great! There is a house that shares a driveway with this house, and although noone was their during our stay, I can see that being a minor inconvenience. I cant wait to come back to Kauai, it was by far the most beautiful of all the Hawaiian Islands and I cant wait to stay at this home again.

Adequately spaced bedroom and bathroom facilities for all. Lots of socializing space and furniture in living rooms and on lanai. Very comfortable. Very adequate kitchen (my adult kids -- the in-between generation -- did the food shopping and cooking). Comfortable walk or drive from beaches and restaurants. Others walked but I needed a ride. It's not inexpensive but for us worth the price.

Property was great…very comfortable! We stayed in guest suite which was better than any apt I’ve ever owned! The refrigerator in upstairs rooms went on fritz but management was on it immediately! Very responsive rental support! I highly recommend Soft Landings to anyone venturing to the island.
