Our family had a wonderful experience! Fantastic location - safe and quiet neighborhood (feels very tucked away, we saw deer in the backyard and took peaceful walk/run around the area), close enough to walk to a restaurants/7-11, and close to the highway to travel in to the city! Great communication from Michael, very responsive. Layout was great for 3 families with spacious rooms, private bathrooms, and open layout. Very pleased with our visit!

It was a perfect location and plenty of space for family of 8 plus visiting friends. Mike was a great host and we got to enjoy some firewood he had set up for us to have a fire.

This was a nice place to stay for a family event. So much better than several hotel rooms. Nice yard, huge house, lots of elbow room. Beautiful master bedroom.

Stayed for a long weekend for a wedding. House was perfect for getting ready for heading out to events. Hosted a family gathering for brunch and nice kitchen, dining area and large backyard turned out to be better than expected for a place to relax, enjoy food and play in the yard. Michael was a super host.

The property is in mostly great shape. The host - Mike - owns the place and is extremely helpful.
We had a large group for a fantasy football draft. There's plenty of parking for 5+ vehicles, though it's single vehicle width at the exit of the driveway.
The outdoor space is fantastic and surprisingly secluded considering the neighborhood. The beds were comfortable, the house has surround sound wired up throughout, and checking in and out were zero hassle.

We could not have a found a more beautiful home with a the most friendly host. This home is in a beautiful secluded neighbor giving you privacy while still being centrally located minutes away from shopping, restaurants, and entertainment attractions. Our host, Mike, greeted us upon arrival and is available to answer any of your questions. The house is very well stocked and ready for you to relax. The beautiful back yard had a play set and which my grandchildren enjoyed hours of fun.

Had whole family stay for a wedding. Host was great. Property very nice for kids and entertaining. Would stay there again if need arises. Mike was very hospitable and accommodating. Our grandkids enjoyed the yard and play area while we lounged on the patio connecting with friends and family!

We had an event at the Schaumburg convention center. This beautiful home is approximately a half mile walk from there.
The house is large and comfortable for 6-8 people. The owner Mike is friendly and accommodating. We hope to return.

We stayed at Mike’s place for a annual Woman’s Weekend. The home was large and spacious and allowed us to talk, eat, talk, eat, talk, eat and play games!! We slept also, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. Mike opened the house for us and graciously showed us around. We were close enough to go into Chicago one day, went to St. Thomas of Villanova and shopped at Woodfield. This home location is private but so close to amenities! We would definitely stay again!! Home is spacious, a convenient location to the airport and other suburbs, clean, and has everyday essentials that are appreciated when traveling like full kitchen supplies, towels, soaps, and linens.
There were a few things that were inconvenient during our stay:
- the checkin/checkout process was not listed in the listing. If it was listed, we all could have saved time.
- the warm/hot water in the house is not ideal. We ended up sharing 2/3 showers because the third bathroom with the tub was hit or miss with very cold water and lukewarm water if we ran the other facets ahead of time.
- the fireplace had high gas levels, therefore, we kept it to a minimum to avoid carbon monoxide in house.
The host/owner is responsive and offered his personal holiday decorations during our Christmas family stay.

Group of four couples from college (almost 40 years ago). Got stayed at the house and had a small reunion with the Chicago couples kids and grandkids. Great house for this event. Big house with plenty of room to accommodate everyone. Neat neighborhood to walk through. Mike is a great host.

Stay was good, and we like how near to restaurants, activities, and shopping the house is. Mike is nice and friendly. This location works for us because we need to have four bedrooms for our 5-day stays. Only wish dishwasher had worked. We had to wash and dry all the dishes used every day and on our last day the coffee pot didn't work.

This property was spectacular! Beautiful built and very spacious. Great for big groups and family’s events. We had 8 people and we felt like we had are own space.. we all had are own bathrooms, which we loved. Great place for cooking. The town it self was wonderful, everything that we need was less the 5,8,10 minutes away. ( Walmart, 7-Eleven, ALDIs the mall and great food places!!! ) Midway airport was 46 - 1hr away, ORD is 16-20min way .. Downtown is 35 - 49mins way… just make sure you give your self time to park. Parking can be crazy. Michael does live in property. Overall I would stay again.. he was a wonderful host.

We rented the house for a wedding weekend so we could bring our dogs with us. The house is very big and comfortable, and it has a very private back yard which was great for the pups. The house is in a great location, easy to get to, and in a very quiet neighborhood. The owner Mike met us to give us the key, he couldn’t have been nicer. He lives in the basement (which has a separate entrance), so was easily available for any questions that came up. We would definitely stay here again if we had another event to attend in the area.

This stay in Palatine had it all. The host was extremely responsive and helpful every step of the way. The house is extremely cozy with a level of comfort to it that is hard to match. The outdoor space is perfect with a fire pit, we’ll landscaped yard, and plenty of ample parking. There is no need to look elsewhere, this seems to be the best that Chicago has to offer.

Our son got married in Chicago, so when we saw this house we thought it looked perfect for our needs, and it was!!
We needed something big and open and also with a nice yard. This house checked all those boxes. We had the brides family over for food and games every night, we were there. That’s a total of 19 people. We had so much room. It was nice to have somewhere for all us us to be together and laugh and make memories!!!!
Mike, our host was so accommodating. Anything we needed he was happy to do. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone and will for sure stay there again!

Mike’s home is so well planned out in terms of layout and usefulness, he thought of everything with this build; including the gorgeous yard, landscaping and parking. Some highlights for my family of the home; first floor master for my elderly mom, light filled open spaces for gathering, fluffy cozy beds. You can tell this isn’t just a house, it’s a home. My family had the perfect small baby shower for my little sister and we stayed in the home as well. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect setting for our long weekend. The house was so clean, the homeowner Mike was so attentive and responsive. The location is also so convenient to the freeways, airport, malls and restaurants. Some things to keep in mind-the next door neighbor has roosters and this this is a slightly older home. Overall a big four stars for Mike’s place!!

Beautiful house with a beautiful backyard , nice and quiet neighborhood. Excellent for families, everything you need (restaurants, grocery stores, shopping) within reasonable distance. Highly recommend and I would definitely stay again.

This place is in a great location. It's a beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood.
We enjoy hanging out in the backyard a lot. We walked around the neighborhood a couple times and played tennis at the neighborhood park. Mike the owner brought us wood for a fire. He was so nice!!! The house is close to some great restaurants. We enjoyed this place a lot and hope to return in the future.

Family gathering
The home was spacious and gave us the chance to enjoy an extended family gathering. Outdoor patio and fire pit were great to enjoy too. The host was responsive to our questions in a timely manner. Conveniently located near shops and restaurants in a quiet, tree filled neighborhood.
