The spaciousness of it and its rural setting.

Host was lovely, location to central Taupo 8 minutes, breakfast fresh and filling, property beautifully landscaped.

Excellent accomodation and host Loreane was very nice and did a great breakfast. She made us feel very at home and we really appreciated that as we were travelling with our small dog. She is a real animal lover!

It is clean, the room was warm and cosy. Everything so clean.

Because it was someone's house I didn't feel like we could sit and relax except for in our room or outside. When it rained that limited the options.

Found it a little awkward sharing tea and coffee making with the owner in her space, but she did say help yourself if she wasn't about.

Thanks Lorene for a really nice stay. The accommodation was great...felt really homey and laid back. Close enough to town but not too close yet an easy drive to all the best spots Taupo has to offer. Breakfast was yum and we were given freshly baked baps....doesn't get any better.

The host was very nice and has great knowledge of the area the place is set up beautifully and can be a great selection for a family as the lounge is shared but very cozy

Lovely place to get away to retreat and unwind

Wow. Amazing location and accommodation. We wanted two nights to rest on our North ISLAND tour and this is the place to relax or any leisure activity. Weekend stay and fine weather meant we visited Craters of the Moon and Huka Falls. Twin bedded room plus loo and shower room were comfortable and spotless. Shared lounge and breakfast was sociable and we did manage quiet time on the porch. 4 sweet cats were there too which cheered us up as we missed ours back home. Home made jams and fabulous choice of hot drinks. They even have their own barista machine

It was great that we were able to find accommodation where our dog was welcome.
Booking.com did not advise us that the hot tub was unavailable until after recieving the booking confirmation on a non refundable booking.
What the website said was offered at Lupin Lodge was different from what we actually recieved.
