Bathroom was gross

The outside and main lobby of hotel was beautiful. Room were spacious but a bit outdated, especially the bathroom. Tub was peeling a bit and the water pressure was pretty bad. Our room had a fridge but no microwave which was bad bc you had to go downstairs to use a microwave which was not convenient to get down to especially if you have kids , or a disability. Which my husband is handicap.
Staff was welcoming and we even got free breakfast which made up for everything else. I like that they had a continental breakfast on side with starbucks coffee although not free. Our room had a balcony which overloooked the court yard. Our room walls were a bit thin and there was a loud party next door which we had to call the front desk at 2 am to take care of the noise. Again out of hotels control and hotel staff was very accommodating and took care of issue. In addition this hotel had a pool and jaccuzzi on site, but we didnt get to use. The location of hotel was close by downtown area and beaches. I would say this stay was an 80 out of a 100. The price and location, along with friendly staff and the convincing of having breakfast onsite was nice.

We have stayed at this property when it was first renovated and it was great. Now a few years later the clientele was extremely questionable and load the room was definitely not to the previous standard and the overall experience was not anything I would recommend

Disgusting pillow in the closet with blood stains and some unknown yellow stain. Hotel did nothing to make it right. Hotels.com gave a $50 credit.

Hotel was very generic, in a deserted corporate park off a commercial strip with little aesthetic appeal, but the room was clean and quiet and the bed was comfortable

Check in was a breeze. Staff was very accommodating and friendly, even gave us suggestions on good places to go to. Room was big and very clean. Had a good night’s sleep for it was quiet. Breakfast could have been better though. But all in all, highly recommended.

Beautiful hotel, very clean. Pool and fire were great. Hallways need far more signage in regards to elevator. I have a hard time with stairs but could never find the elevator. i will definitely stay again but request ground floor.

Was placed near a long term stay family. Couldn't relax with kids yelling all night and slamming doors at 6am. Found a smoked joint on my balcony that was covered in ash from cigarettes.

Very expensive, and dirty. Multiple hairs found in the bathroom, and a wadded up piece of toilet paper with hair sticking out of it was on the ceiling of the bathroom. Disgusting. Rat traps outside, and mini liquor bottles with shopping carts on the grounds. This place needs a lot of work.

We had an excellant experience at the Sonesta Select in Middletown. Check in /out was fast and the staff we encountered were very nice. The room was clean and quiet.

The hotel is only three miles form Newport which is good. But there was nothing in the immediate area that looked appealing

First time in Rhode Island and definitely not my last! This hotel was the perfect place for my family and I. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff was kind and helpful the second we stepped through the doors. I would definitely stay again.

This hotel has gone downhill. They have gotten cheap in their service and it shows. You now have to pay for daily cleaning services (!!!) if you stay for 3 nights or less. This is just insane to me and I am a frequent traveler. They are cutting all corners they can think of. Another example is that morning coffee is no longer free in the lobby and all breakfast items you must pay for. This wasn't the case at this same hotel a couple years ago. In my opinion this is unacceptable in such an area as Newport where you are already paying top dollar. On a positive note, the rooms were clean and updated although very very basic. We won't be staying at this hotel again because I'd rather pay a little more for an enjoyable experience rather than just a place to sleep but for some people this might do the trick.

The room looked dirty. The couch was dirty. The mattress on the sofa/bed was dirty. The drapes were dirty. The elevator was dirty. It looked like it hadn’t been swept/vacuumed in forever. The room didn’t have linens for the sofa bed so we tried to call the front desk and the phone in the

This place feels like a weekly budget inn. Towels were horrible, bring your own. They do not offer maid service either but will do a bathroom refresh. Products in bathroom were terrible not Tea Tree. Very old mattresses that were not comfortable. Lots of little flies. Mold in the AC. It was quiet and there is a ton of free parking. Balcony was tiny and didn’t have chairs.

I liked this hotel for the location. I booked a room for 5 people and there was 2 beds and no sleep sofa. Asked for a cot and was told there aren’t any so had to go to Walmart and buy a blow up mattress.
