It was a really nice stay with lots of positives, but there were a few little things which meant it didn’t really match up to the billing or alternatives of the same standard. Great food, comfortable room, nice grounds, perfect location. Just a combination of little things which let it down. No towels at the spa, had to take your room ones and take back wet, dressing gown for the spa, but no slippers so you’ve got damp trainers, staff friendly but a bit unsure on things, can I put this drink on my tab? Maybe, not sure, no, actually yes, can I have an invoice if my charges on check out, no, but I can send it to you later etc etc. Little things but just took of the ‘premium shine’ compared to others in the same price bracket. Overall though really enjoyable weekend.

Lovely hotel. Great amenities including swimming pool/gym. Room was big and comfortable with all that you would need for a great stay, the fresh milk in the fridge was a welcome touch. Bar service from was good, very knowledgeable & funny. Lady on reception was also lovely, a credit to the hotel.

Far enough away but close enough to walk to the high street. Lovely breakfast, comfortable rooms and amenities. Will be back

My wife & I had a wonderful anniversary weekend at Bedford Lodge. The facilities were excellent, including the swimming pool & restaurant, & the staff were always friendly & helpful.

Very comfortable and convenient hotel

The hotel meets all that is expected of a 4 star establishment. Great building, dining and staff. The only was let down was the room, although comfortable and well stocked with quality amenities, it was small, in particular the bathroom.

Very beautiful hotel but unfortunately the shower was freezing cold! We only stayed one night so wasn’t worth worrying about but we did tell reception on leaving. Room good size and comfortable bed. Lady in the bar was very friendly.

Good standard hotel

Easy check in after Race Meeting. Very friendly and efficient reception staff. Room lovely and clean - bed and pillows super comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Lots of parking. Highly recommend.

always a pleasure staying here for the races. lovely hotel, think they need a few extra seats in the bar and outside as we did struggle to find a table on various times. over-all still a beautiful hotel.

Great

Lovely adult (i.e. not overrun with children) hotel with good view from room of the racing yard next door. Easy walk into town, didn't use restaurant as prefered to try the mexican in town; Breakfast excellent and included. Everything clean and great service. Friendly bar staff with two ales on as well as the usual selection of hotel stock.

The Lodge is set in beautiful grounds just on the edge of the town It’s a wonderfully relaxing spot with nice gardens and a very nice outside patio

We only had a very short overnight stay. There was a late check in, the staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was very clean with very comfortable beds and the room had air conditioning. The breakfast was very nice with different options to choose from which was freshly cooked to order. Overall we would certainly recommend this hotel.

Only stayed the one night but i found the hotel and it’s staff excellent and very friendly Super breakfast

Restaurant service was terrible, you had to wait for table service even if you just wanted a drink at the bar which took over half an hour to get served as the staff was also taking and serving the food orders. The breakfast the next morning I had to wait 45 minutes for my breakfast. The bar staff over night once the restaurant was closed were very nice and friendly

Decent place. Only down side is that the bar is too small for the size of the hotel particularly if raining. Unless there is another one I'm not aware of

Very clean throughout the hotel, used the pool and facilities, steam room was out of order but didn’t ruin our time there. Breakfast was lovely. Would definitely come back.
