Great location, Comfy Beds. But, very tired & dated - cleanliness of room, particularly the bathroom was well below average standard

We are happy with Arawa. The rooms are spacious, water is hot, room is warm. The only suggestion is to offer nicer cafe ambience and buffet breakfast. Normally, guests will go out after breakfast. So, don't worry about lunch and dinner. Focus on the buffet breakfast. God bless Arawa. Don't give up!

Nice comphy bed very clean beautiful view from our room. No plates or cutlery in rooms just two cups two teaspoons no teatowels. Grotty electric jug that leaked all over the bench. Staff were friendly. Wasnt for us though as weve stayed in other hotels that do supply plates & cutlery.

Great corner bath and huge room with attractive view overlooking race course. Very good value for money. Reception staff excellent

Rooms are very spacious, TV is a big screen, beds so comfortable! Also loved the spa and the balcony overlooking the race-course!

The rooms are very spacious. It is quite old.

Hotel room was very spacious and clean, but hotel is in serious need of a refurb. All of the furniture and appliances are very old/dated. With that being said the beds were very comfortable and it was nice having a small private deck. Room service was very delayed. But staff were friendly. Good value for money overall.

Very spacious room with comfortable beds bathroom clean but very outdated. Easy parking and friendly staff checking in. Just bear in mind walls are paper thin.

Being out of towners the hotel we picked was really nice, we would definitely be back.

Hotel is a bit dated. Very large room. Was excited to have a spa bath in the room but filled it with water and the Jets wouldn't work. High quality soaps and lotions. Couldn't figure out how to get the TV onto live TV. Seemed to only be setup for Chronecast and streaming apps. The secure car park at the back was hard to find. Had to park alongside the building which was not lit very well.

Great location, and friendly & helpful staff. The room was really spacious & beds super comfy! However, the room could do with a deep clean & general dusting. The spa pool hadn’t been cleaned in a while & the luggage shelf was uncleaned too. Other than that, a great option for a weekend in Rotorua if you want to stay centrally, with a parking option.

Room entry with Card was nice

We could have done with a microwave in our room along with all cutlery and utensils. Although we just had to ask for these. 2 outdoor chairs would’ve been nice so the both of us could sit down together. Only 1 lounge chair, Otherwise nice and clean quiet and very economical. We would definitely be back.

This place has the potential for the Whow factor. The room we had was good, bed was amazing. What let it down was first walking up to the frontage of the building the windows had not been cleaned in what looked like months - I did wonder how clean our room would be and had 2nd thoughts about entering. Our room was clean however Our room was extremely basic on the amenities front - a couple of glasses - 2 cups 1 teaspon - nothing to clean our cups with or dry them! They had soap dispensers in bathroom that were empty. Would have appreciated a couple of knifes and forks - No toaster/kettle/plates The staff were very nice -

It was such a great stay. They looked after us well, really clean and everything is near by that you may want to go to! Definitely will use again.

Excellent stay

The room we got was really big, facing the race track and it even had a tub in the room, not in the toilet. Even though it is not a new building, the location is perfect. There are ample parking lots as well.

Fantastic room.. so large.. it was great overlooking the racecourse. Only thing we didn’t like, but wasn’t a big thing. We wouldn’t get the tv to work.. and when we scanned the code on our phones to find out what to do.. it said it didn’t exist. Would still recommend this place…

Spacious room with comfortable bed. Only complaint - shower over bath. Previous time we've stayed it has been a seperate shower.

The property needs major maintenance, broken tiles, window latches fallen off, windows need cleaning overall very tired.

the property was well presented and very clean but the only2 items that stood out were the spabath did not go in our room and the breakfast needs some sorting out dry tough bacon and egg that looked like under cooked soup in fact awfull

Another comfortable stay. This room was not quite as nice as last stay, no balcony and overlooks the carpark instead. Shower over bath as well.
