Extremely rude staff, housekeeping did not see to room, even though the sign was out for it. Extremely outdated set up, not meant to be shared-Light switch and outlet in the middle of the bed.

Unclean sheets, overa ruined aspect. Peers do not invest a penny on the hotel. Breakfast is pretty basic, though cheap at 5€. Do not be late since people attending nearby school grabs all. However.... despite being an overall bad stay, staff is very helpful and amiable.

The hotel was ok,nothing special. My room was rather cramped,although it did have en-suite and a small tv.The staff was efficient. The Goya is situated at the top of a steep hill,therefore not ideal for those with mobility problems. It's a 10-15 minute walk to the centre of Alicante and a little more to the sea front. There's a few bars and restaurants nearby,as well as a supermarket.

This is the worst hotel i have stayed at, the shower was ridiculously small, the taps stick out so when your trying to wash theyre rubbing against our back you cant move away from them because the shower is the size of a chair seat, so you start touching the door, first night there was no light in the bathroom to be able to shower, we was going to have a few drinks at the bar in the hotel but no one was serving we waited for half an hour on 2 occasions and still no one came so we left to find somewhere else, also there wasnt really much to do in the area, we went to benidorm for two days would have much rather of stayed there

Only stay here if you really dont afford anything better. I would definitely never return here. The so called called hotel needs a drastic makeover....sorry...should be pulled down and rebuilt. I honestly cannot say anything good about this place except that it is cheap.

Or arrival at Hotel Goya i thought quite a nice place, attentive reception staff & manned 24/7, the cleanliness in the room left a bit to be desired, but you get what you pay for.

Basic ..hotel .cheap..nice staff nice breaky 5 euro well worth it..if u dont like this hotel you should go to a more expensive hotel..you pay for what you get well worth the 96 pound for 3 nights

It's close to the centre and i really liked the friendly staff.

The hotel is in poor condition. Rooms are not very clean, and the worst part is the noise insulation. You can hear everything that's going on in the adjacent rooms like it's happening in your own. Avoid!!!!

Hotel Goya was one of the few hotels in Alicante that allows check-in after midnight, I had a late flight so choose Goya for this reason.It was just a few minutes walk from the airport bus so ideal location.Service was friendly & check-in was quick.I shared a double room with my boyfriend, it was quite small & very outdated but for just €30 can’t complain.The bed was comfy & the shower was decent.We didn’t get breakfast so no comment there.I’d definitely recommend Hotel Goya to friends/couples who aren’t planning to spend a lot of time in the hotel itself but just to use it as a base.

The room was neat and clean. The staff made my bed each day, cleaned the floor, etc. I had a small balcony, where I could enjoy the outside in some privacy. I saw another review that said wifi did not work in the rooms...they have upgraded and have two networks, one for the lobby and one for the rooms. I had more than sufficient internet speed in my room for email and web surfing. The room was small, but what do you expect for the price. The walls are thin and I was woken up two nights by noise in the halls or neighbors, but I had no trouble getting back to sleep, once they quieted down.

We've stayed at this hotel twice now, and chose it mainly because of it's location and the private parking.The first time we stayed here, it was ok. The hotel itself is a little tired looking, but the staff were friendly. Aside from the bed being creaky and having a very small bathroom, we found the hotel to be quite pleasant and were impressed at how clean everything was. It was a little noisy on Friday night but nothing too bad.Two weeks later we returned though, and this was a very different experience ...The room had only one working plug socket, which we could only use if we unplugged the main light in the room. The heating was turned on with no way to turn it off, which went well with the 22 degree weather outside. Then there was the noise ...Our immediate neighbour on one side seemed to do nothing else except stay in his room all day to talk and laugh loudly. I assume he was on the phone and not simply going mad from the lack of sleep, but you never know. On the other side we had a delightful African couple who were either constantly fighting (it sounded physical on at least one occasion) or dealing with their screaming baby. Doors were slammed at all hours of the night as well (baby next door loved that).To top it off, without warning the water was shut off randomly one evening whilst my girlfriend was in the shower. No warning .. apparently it was for repairs .. at 8 in the evening.We will stay somewhere else next time I think!

The "hotel" was classed three star how?? Lot of non European pepole staying dont think they were holidaying, very noisy plumbing echoed around the room from other rooms kept awake till 02 am room and bathroom needs maintenance and cleaning lights stuck together with glue selotape doorhandles loose falling apart, never again

If you just need a room for a night then this is an ideal hotel. Receptionists spoke perfect English and were helpful and friendly. Room was comfortable, though the walls were thin and the next occupant's television could be heard. Would revisit.
