Room was a perfect size, only problem was that the door itself broke, but the staff got it fixed within about an hour.

Everyone was really nice, especially the women that work the breakfast area! The bathroom could have been cleaner…there was hair all over the floor and the shower wasn’t at clean as it should have been. But over all it was a nice stay

Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and enormous. Everything was very walkable, there were tons of restaurants and shopping in the area. We went to a football game and that was very walkable as well.

It was convenient to my client's location and is a nice place to stay.

We stayed here as it was convenient to all sights in Cleveland we wanted to see. The hotel was above and beyond expectations. Staff was GREAT! Rooms, areas were well kept. Beautiful hotel, lots of character!

hate that valet parking cost so much and you're paying to stay there as well.

The valet service is very poor, and the front Desk Representative Brady on the night shift is rude and argumentative.

Do not use valet parking. Understaffed and 1.5 hour wait to leave hotel. Front desk said “Nothing we can do”. No restroom access from lobby while waiting for our car, because we had checked out and no elevator access. no seating area.

We loved Monica at the breakfast bar!! She is the life of Holiday Inn Express Downtown Cleveland. She is so helpful and friendly. She makes connections with everyone and her services comes from the heart. We very much enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, we requested extra towels (for the in room jacuzzi) and they were sent up immediately. Wonderful views, central location in the city. Walking distance to Progressive Field, and Jake's Pizza for late night slices and ice cream :) But Monica was the real star of the show!! I would 100% recommend this location and hotel. The only thing I was not a fan of was the parking situation, it's valet only and costs $40 extra per day. But if you don't leave and come back it's not any extra hassle. Day 1 we went out exploring the area driving, but day 2- we walked so it was no extra time waiting.

Hotel was nice. Just little out dated. Floors need a better cleaning but everything else was good . Stuff was very nice. Loved the breakfast lady she was amazing making sure we didn’t ever need anything. Would go back again if we go to Cleveland!

The building is old, we get that. The room was not cleaned. we found a wet cleaning rag left under bed sheets. All the hallways and breakfast area was filthy. Never again

Was not thrilled at all. The couch had massive stains all over, the mattresses were poor quality, the bathroom was absolutely disgusting!

I absolutely love this hotel. Beautiful old building. The rooms are huge. Amenities in room were great. Lots of shopping and restaurants close by. This was my 3rd stay and I have another planned for the Browns home opener. There is a parking garage behind hotel which is much cheaper then valet. I always park there with no issues.

The hotel is in a perfect setting - downtown Cleveland. It has a lovely architectural frontage and entrance hall - beautiful period features. However, the room was tired and in need of renovation - not to make it modern and spruced up, but repairs to make it presentable. There were ceiling tiles at the entrance to the room that were sagging, and in places the ceiling looked like there was some damage from above. The tiles around the edge of the bathroom were damaged in places and needed to be grouted/fixed. Just looked shoddy. There was also a layer of dust on the arm of the lamp. The bed was comfy and the linens clean. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. This room looked like one brought out of retirement, and I’m sorry to write such a review, but I would not stay here again.

The room was enormous and very quiet place to stay. Really had a great time.

The room was wonderful. Breakfast was very good. It was open at 6:00 and closed at 9:30. Monica, the person taking care of the area, was wonderful. She offered to make pancakes for me (they had a machine). She did and brought them to our table. They also had eggs, sausage, bacon, and other delicious items. All the staff we met took pride in their work and good care of us.

The historic building is fascinating with its beautiful lobby and vintage elevators that are very reliable. Every staff member was attentive and friendly in the Midwesterner way!

The hotel was very charming and all staff were extremely friendly, especially the breakfast staff. No issues at any point whatsoever. We would stay again. Thanks!

Pro: Hotel is in a good area for people who work downtown. Con: When we arrived, there were at least seven valet attendants at the podium but none of the approached our car or even acknowledged us.
