I don’t like the room it looks old and dirty

When I arrived there was some construction going on in my booked room on the property. So, the reception upgraded me into an executive room because it was there fault. I also had some boxes that I needed to take to Auckland and I did not want to keep them in my car while visiting customers in Hamilton. So, I asked the reception to keep those big boxes with them for two days until I leave the Motel on Friday. They allowed me to do that. Excellent customer service.

I thought I might have noisy neighbours, but it was really quiet once the evening set in. I appreciated the complimentary Whittakers chocolate slab, the Bueno chocolate bar, the mini bag of Rashuns and the Coke can... It was moments like that where you'd need Mintees, so it was great to also have a few of those waiting for me too. Easy check in and out 😁.

Friendly staff. Comfortable bed but the room was sparsely furnished - only one comfortable chair to sit in, no couch, a very small desk and 1 chair - nowhere for friends or visitors to sit. Bathroom was very worn and showing its age.
Suitable for my needs but overpriced considering the age and condition.

Was surprised to see a hot tub, didn't notice it in the booking. It was very spacious. There was a trail of ants on the nightstand, si.ple pest control would resolve. It was simple to check in, staff were friendly, felt bery comfortable

It was a bit shabby from arrival and it not the room. All a bit tired. The young lady at check in was pleasant and helpful but there is no restaurant or bistro, one of the main reasons we chose this motel at last minute.

There was a security chain on the door which was broken and could not lock the door from the inside.
The room was very old but very clean. I think this hotel is used as emergency accommodation for the government. It was very noisey and busy.

Shower curtain, peeling paint, window latches not functioning, bathroom door that didn’t fit the frame and therefore didn’t close.

Clean and affordable. Very basic. Much better properties nearby but priced accordingly.

The room itself was lovely comfortable and clean, couldn’t fault it at all. But unfortunately we were kept awake with arguing and yelling by the social/emergency housing people until all hours, which was very frustrating but wasn’t the hotels fault

Abbot motel you need to make this place more appealing to the eye and definitely update your systems when it comes to that security bond for damages no way can you slap that in someone's face if they too don't have the same policy Infront of them.

Old hotel and a bit rundown but was CLEAN.
When booking you should know it has some local social housing tenants which can be quite confronting, especially as some people could feel unsafe. Was a little noisy but they settled down around 10pm and wasn’t too bad. You could see that the managers have done their best to maintain an old property.

The staff are lovely and the bed was comfy! But the room was cold, one small and loud fan heater which we needed to have going all night and strangely we couldn't open our room door without opening the window first, everything is just a bit tired and in need of some love.
