A great place to stay n relax. Good buffet breakfast

The hotel is dated and renovation works seems to be ongoing. Can hear hammering sounds in the daytime throughout our stay. Rooms are bad soundproofing, can hear next door guests talking. Heavy bass from nearby disco can also be heard from 9.30-10pm onwards(our room is seaview facing), not nice if you are light sleeper. Breakfast varieties are ok with enough sitting area. WiFi is very good. Shopping malls are just opposite the hotel with roads in between, which can be quite tricky to cross safely.

We had a lovely stay in Melaka and everything was great at the hotel apart from we have not received the refund we are due. There was a payment taken instead of it being held as a pending amount and when I asked about this at check out I was told I would definitely receive the refund however I have not after 2 weeks. I have e-mailed the hotel but not received a response. I think this is most likely unusual but very disappointing. I am hoping through this message someone at the hotel will sort out the refund.

Great property. Felt like luxury after other hotels in Malaysia. All staff were so kind and helpful. We'd mistakenly only booked one room but they put foldable beds for our children for free. Breakfast was excellent. Great access to Malaka. Street food was awesome. We ate at Wild Coriander and had a stunning meal. Thank you Holiday Inn

A typical 5-star Holiday Inn hotel. Great location as near the sea shore. Shopping mall just across the road. Easy parking. Excellent staff and services. Though the hotel is a bit aged.

Our best hotel stay in our entire trip. The check in counter lady ( sorry I forgot her name) was wonderful offering us an extra bed to set up and even reminding us of breakfast options for a good price.
Will return next time with the whole family.

It's an old hotel (formally known as Casa Maya) Considering an old hotel, it's being pretty well kept and clean. The room is spacious but the set-back is the water pressure in the shower is very low.

Friendly staff (as likely everywhere in Malaysia), nice breakfast, nice pool. The hotel can be seen from many places in the town which is assuring for those who want to walk the landmarks.

Happy with stay. Although hotel/room a little dated but location and superb cleanliness compensate for it. Beddings and toilet clean. It is directly opposite a shopping mall, 15/20mins walk to most tourist attractions. Check in/out fast, reception courteous. If really to pick would be the low pressure flushing which is not uncommon in most hotels.

Property looked refurbished. However many things left to be desired. Room toilet had malfunctioned . In room refrigerator had to be exchanged. But overall service recovery was fast and on point. Area around the property was quiet and not complicated. Far enough from hustle and bustle but near enough for short makan trips. Great overall experience.

Reasonable for its price. It was rated as a five star hotel, so i was expecting more. I find that rooms are cleaned and staff is prompt as we requested for bottled water.
I find that service definitely can be improved such as informing us about the venue of the buffet breakfast and shuttle service available. We had to find out all these by ourselves. Location is good as we managed to walk to Jonker street.Wonderful stay.. can consider again if we wanna go Melaka again.

The hotel is new and clean. Room is spacious and clean. The hotel is located in the heart of the Melaka, walking distance to Dutch House, Jonker street and major attraction. The breakfast is sumptuous and with variety of choices. Highly recommended !!!

We are 3 pax room. But the items provide only for 2. Each time we need to call for extra set. For instead we called for 1 more towel, toothbrush and shaver. End up only 1 shaver send up. Then ask where is the towel and toothbrush n then only towel send up.
I don't think toilet is been washed during my whole 4 night as the hair in the toilet are just stack up there
Then the day on my check in. As a guest I did not even have a car park lot due to whatever event. But shouldn't there is some slots reserved for guests like us already so tired after long day drive.

There was a discrepancy in price. When at hotel, we are forced to pay more than stated by Hotels.com. Next we pay more for the Sea view just to face the horrible loud banging music from a local nightclub called Arena. It is a nightmare.

The property was located across a very busy road and away from established restaurants and cafes. It's a distance to walk to traffic junction for safe cross.

The hotel is fairly well located a short walk from the historic centre. The pool itself was nice but there were only 2 umbrellas and around 8 loungers - almost all of which were broken in some way or other. Breakfast fine and reception staff helpful, but little more than a dated 3.5 star experience.

Overall a pleasant hotel to stay though a little further from historic town. The regulator of aircon in the room is not working resulting in very cold temperature after a few hours of using the aircon. It is a waste of energy and also caused discomfort in the night when you sleep.

A great place to stay but it is bit away from the more hip hotels such as Shore and The Pines, so you need to have a car and be prepared to travel about 10-15 min to places like Jonker Walk, Museum, and eateries.

There was a problem with the tv remote. I called the front desk to assist with the problem but nobody came as promised. Secondly, my brother and I were sleeping in our room when the janitor opened our room door to ask if we need our room cleaned. I have never experienced people opening my room without my consent. Thirdly, the wifi is very poor. Network connection is often lost.

My stay was very pleasant and nice. Staff were helpful and friendly. Room and service was all good. Hotel is near to all the shopping centre and about half an hour drive to all the tourist attractions places. Definitely will come back again!

The hotel needs an upgrade to improve the quality and finishing with better experience. Example the bathroom basin and toilet bowl change as well as room furniture

A dated establishment. Power points are not working. Air vents are dirty and dusty that I got allergic to dust. Decor are outdated.

First time staying at this hotel for 2 nights and we will never ever come back again because we got bedbugs bite after staying here. It mean that the room is not clean especially the bed and the carpet floor.The TV signal is also very bad, all the channels totally cannot see. The shuttle service is also not punctual. We waited at the Dataran Pahlawan Mall for almost 30 minutes until we called the Hotel then only they came to fetch us. The variety of breakfast is also limited and not tasty. Overall it's bad experience for our stay at Holiday Inn Melaka Hotel.
