This hotel was good—looks nice and rooms are nice. The staff is very helpful and very accommodating—even with our middle-of-the-night checkout/departure. The food menu is somewhat limited but that's not surprising given that it's a small place. Our bathroom had a bad sewage-type odor when we arrived but it seemed to have been fixed after housekeeping. I'd stay again.

The room was very clean and spacious with a nice separate sitting area. The hotel is located quite close to the waterfront, and not too far from several shops and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed my stay here and would return again.

It was really superb and y the workers and management went totally above and beyond what was required! I cant recommended them highly enough! Plus the location is excellent.

After two weeks of travelling through Tamil Nadu and Kerala, we ended our trip at Amritara, and were so happy we did. Very spacious rooms, comfortable beds and large bathrooms gave us the comfort we needed to wind down and prepare for long journeys home. The area is quiet and within easy walking distance to busier parts of the town. Breakfast was ok, but service was slow - fortunately we had leisurely morning for this, but it wouldn't work for those with less time. Service was wonderful from Nancy, who accommodated our late departing flight with a late check-out - being able to shower prior to heading to the airport made all the difference!

Poovath is a small boutique hotel with excellent staff courtesy and cleanliness. Would definitely recommend for a quiet getaway to fort kochi.

Front desk staff were fantastic - couldn't do enough for you. Confirmed our train ticket, arranged taxis, contacted onward destination. Excellent breakfast

The hotel was not up to our expectations of a heritage hotel for the money we paid. The bed was not very comfortable, we thought we would get an inner spring mattress. You also had to let the shower run for 10mins before any warm water came through . The breakfast was also very average. The staff however were very friendly and welcoming and helpful with questions.

Old building renovated beautifully. Lovely pool. Staff seem to be still in training mode but very willing. Good experience - would definitely stay there again

An Oasis, it was lovely, the staff were delightful, warm and friendly, polite and just couldn't do enough for you. I will never forget their warm friendly smiles. we loved the place so much we spent the last day of our travels in the pool garden before our flight home.we met some fellow travellers here and they ranged from young lone travellers to older couples touring, everybody enjoyed and relaxed. sitting around the pool was the best place to listen to other travel stories. lovely.

Terrific sense of history well located to the venues of the Kochi Biennale! The room on the ground floor just looked into a wall with no view and little natural light. The hotel has no liquor license. Its best to request one of the rooms on the upper floor facing the Sea.

The building is lovely, but we were in a standard room and they are very small. To get to the bathroom required walking around the end of the bed and to do so required walking sideways, as the gap between the end of the bed and the wall is very narrow.

Great Location, very close to beach, hardly 100 meters. Hotel room & bathroom were good. The hotel was not a luxury hotel but its value for money. Staff was also very supportive.

We had to continue to insist it was fixed otherwise they would have done nothing about it. On our final night and morning of departure, again we had no hot water.They advertise room service but do not tell you the phone number to contact them. The service of the reception - high standard. The hotel sits by the Dutch cemetery may not be trivial to everyone (like me) and should be noted before check-in , One should make sure the view from the room is ok. Breakfast - variety as well as service needs to be improved.

Nice hotel. Our room was just two double beds pushed together though instead of a king.

There are cheaper hotels with the same rating as this one, but overall it is a good hotel. Clean and friendly staff. A little pricey for Cochin, but for comfort and no hassels, it is perfect. My only complaint was th einternet connection while free was weak. They need to upgrade their Wifi.

Good stay with small surprises like A/C malfunction and cemetery view with a glimpse of the ocean. Yet easily recommended. Excellent location and staff. Will stay again if visit kochi again.
