Hassle free, good location and clean rooms. Theybwere spacious too. Easy for a family of 4. Kids said that the sofa beds were not particularly comfortable but otherwise it was all good.

the family delux had the best lake view, was quiet and the heated pools were amazing, kids loved it. thanks to peter we had an unforgettable vacation even though we mistakenly booked the wrong date we were taken care of without extra charge. the double bedroom we stayed on the last day was equally clean and cozy with dedicated parking right outside. will revisit for sure

Not the standard I was expecting. A bit tired and in need of an update. Water pressure in shower was dreadful and seemed to be affected by usage in other rooms

We had a lovely stay at the Anchorage Resort. We had the room above the reception area and the views were amazing! The hot tub was also wonderful in the evening.

Very friendly staff and spacious rooms, it's bit noisy at times but can’t expect to much quiet. Pool is convient especially with kids. Overall it’s a beautiful property

We had a wonderful time at this Resort. Peter and Claris were great hosts, very helpful and friendly. Beaut little spot, everything was there. Great rooms, lovely spa and swimming pool. We went as a family group and would definitely go back again.

This hotel just out of Taupo is a great place to stay to get away from the tourist trap and it's only a short distance to the city. The view of the lake is right in front, the hot spa is perfect, the service was friendly and efficient. The room was great, bed comfortable, facilities just right. But it does need an upgrade - very tired looking. Would still recommend for a stay.

Kids loved the pool and spa pool. I enjoyed the view from our room. Next time I will take a children’s bike. I assumed they would have smaller bikes as well as adult for hire being a family resort. House keeping was of a very high standard. Excellent family accommodation.

Travelling for work with a colleague recently and was pleased to find this motel that offered 2 bedrooms with a queen bed in each - didn’t have to toss a coin for the room with 2 singles. The hotel was easy to find, warm welcome in reception, and across the road from the lake. The room was well-appointed, clean, and spacious. Shower over the spa bath had good pressure and there are extra towels on offer. Not much road noise considering its location. The beds were comfy and extra blankets on hand. Kitchen has cooking facilities and a microwave and decent cups for your morning coffee. Really enjoyed our stay, happy to recommend, and we hope to return again.
