Very unique hotel. Beautiful grounds including horses, and lots of chickens. Interesting artwork all around. Views were amazing and Penny and Kelly were really helpful. Very comprehensive breakfast items.

Penny was awesome. From checkin to checkout, she was so helpful. She has so much knowledge about the Island and guided us every day. Horse ride at this hotel is a must. Ruben the horse guide is very sweet and you get to ride along the beach.

Kelly and Penny were super friendly, helpful, and great! My second time staying here and was enjoyed by adults, teens, and kids.

My son and I had the most amazing vacation staying at Penny and Kelly’s beautiful property. My little dog was eager to run straight to the office first thing in the morning to visit Penny for some love and I enjoyed starting the day chatting with Penny while grabbing included breakfast. Their love for sharing their property with guests and ensuring that their time on the island is a memorable and fun experience is felt the moment you step through the gate. Wonderful recommendations and information for activities and they were very helpful with ensuring that navigating transportation to and from the main island goes well. They had beach gear available to borrow which is such a nice amenity to provide. The dipping pool was so perfect and lovely and views of the big blue was Devine. We loved visiting with the horses who are obviously loved and cared for and happy. The room was perfect, nicely decorated, cozy and relaxing, and we enjoyed having a small kitchen with all the basics that you need. Lovely shower, super comfortable beds, the right amount of places for luggage and I actually hung up my clothes and the shelves which I never usually do at hotels lol! Easy and safe walk to town and even my 14 year old felt comfortable to walk down on his own to get donuts at the food cart and bring them back. Penny made sure to draw the way on the map. Relaxing on the deck enjoying the view and reading a book in the hammock or outdoor bed was the perfect vacation! Hope to return!

An island gem. Our stay was incredibly restful. The area is peaceful and safe. Rooms are super clean with plenty of amenities. The night sounds of the island forest are lulling. Cannot say enough. Highly recommended!

Beautiful rooms, great views, great hists

Important to know that the office is not staffed unless they are expecting an arrival. We had a miscommunication initially where we didn't know what time we would be arriving and the owner was waiting there for us. I felt badly that they were waiting for us but they didn't communicate that to me until after the fact. The property is very pretty. Off the beaten path a little, but still walkable to town for food and shopping. Lots of animals around, so if you don't like horse/rooster/frog noises and/or smells, this isn't the place for you. You have to walk up and down some short steep hills within the property, so might not be great for those with physical limitations. The room was dark but cozy. Had a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. The bathroom had an interesting situation with the toilet paper being hung above and behind the toilet from a stick, which made it impossible to reach. The toilet seat was broken, presumably from people trying to turn around to reach the paper. The view from the room was stunning and I loved the ambient sounds of the property. Breakfast was served each day and consisted of several plates of fresh fruit, breads, small cereal boxes, and coffee.

It was a very good experience, clean room, beautiful views and gardens. Excellent facilities and kitchen equipment. Comfortable beds and we loved the balcony with hammock. We only recommended a better organization in the room where they provide the continental breakfast.

Penny was so friendly and kind. She made us feel at home. The property was really quaint and the views were beautiful. Both Penny and Kelly were great with our 13 year old daughter. They showed her the animals and gave her a tour of where to see the geckos and Iguanas.

Loved our stay at SeaGate! Uniquely beautiful, awesome owners, sweet horses, art everywhere. Will be back for sure!

Kelly is a great hostess. She is very knowledgeable about the area. She gave me all the information that I need to explore Vieques. Also she was always checking in my arrival. Her place is so beautiful and ecofriendly.

We really enjoyed the Sea Gate Hotel. We did not stay in the main section but had a suite with a kitchen. The check in with Penny could not have been more helpful. She is great. While everything was clean in our suite, because of the nature of the island there were tiny bugs maybe ants. They were sooo tiny but present. There was spray available in the suite both for the bugs and for people to avoid mosquitoes. Penny made great suggestions of places to snorkel. When we asked for a later checkout they allowed it graciously. I would stay again!

This place was perfect! From the hammock, to the horses and iguanas, to the stunning views, to the excellent customer service. Well done all around!

The hotel was too far from good beaches, like Blue Beach. The parking up the hill and noise from roosters was not pleasant!

We had a fantastic time. The owners were super helpful, they told us all the great spots and how to get there. The room we stayed in may have the best view on the island. The property itself is one of a kind, if you're looking for a unique stay with wonderful staff, this is it.

It is picturesque! It is a well kept quaint little hotel with unique rooms and native flowers and plants on property! The owners are wonderful! We felt safe and well cared for!!

A lovely place within a 12 min walk to the main shops. Would def stay there again.

The units are comfortable and cozy, but there were some bugs to contend with, probably due to the rain. Miner repairs are needed, like a new toilet seat in unit 8. There is a coffee pot but no coffee. The path to the office and units is a bit steep. The owner was friendly and put out some breakfast items and offered free water during our stay. Overall we enjoyed the cozy feel to the units and the close proximity to town.

We absolutely LOVED out stay at the Sea Gate Hotel! We stayed for 3 nights and it was so pleasant! The grounds of this family founded and operated boutique hotel are full of beautiful gardens and a nice little dipping pool and a sun deck. There are roosters near the horses nearby. (roosters are everywhere in PR) We used a white noise app on our phones and were fine. :) Our space was so comfortable, we really liked chatting with the ladies running the place. We rented a golf cart, parking was super easy in front of the hotel, and explored the island before seeing bioluminescence. I literally can't say enough positive about our stay here!!! We'll look to book here again when we come back to the island in the future! Thank you both so much!!! :)

Great accommodation. The unit (#6 on the top floor) was spacious and well-equipped. The owner Penny went out of her way to make our two-night stay extra enjoyable. She offered beach towels and snorkels/masks, in addition to providing a special breakfast (prepared the night before), as we needed to leave at 5 am. Highly recommend this small, cosy hotel.
