The check in was worse have had. Asked for credit card don't have one was never told needed it. Plus when tried check in was to early told wait they come tell us never did. Staff never told where about room was at all no idea where go. Wifi was crap slow dropped ND some devices unable even connect. When turned bathroom light on fan went on woke up kid

We arrived at 2:50 pm after our visits around Taupo from Auckland. We were informed at the reception that our room was not ready yet due to staff shortages.
We waited for 30 minutes.
They should reconsider using the word "resort" in their name. The rooms are all old and small. The floorboards creak when you walk on them, making it feel like you might fall through.
The room was clean, but there were bed bugs, which made it difficult to sleep.
The location is convenient, but the price charged for the rooms is too high.

I was pleasantly surprised how wonderful this property was, especially great for families and great staff - we could use the Millenium hotel facilities next door, although their spa pool wasn’t working. We booked a Lakeview and it was worth the upgrade. Nice wide walking track out the front of the hotel that went around the lake, great for bikes and scooters too, we walked along the track to a cafe to get coffee and ice cream. Our two bedroom apartment had a full kitchen, nice open plan lounge and dining room and heat pump and Sky TV. I believe the couch folds out to another bed if you need an extra bed. Would definitely stay again.

Not much carparks due to shipping containers being outside the property and my partner cut his foot on the shower door as the corner of the door was sharp due to their being no rubber or seal

Great location, great hot pool. No one at reception at the Oasis at all through out our stay only over at the Millennium hotel.

The property is olden shabby condition and poorly serviced. Every day having to chase non-replenished items.Bed linen not changed during 5 day stay. Carpet stained and patched and the lounge/sofa bed was so old that sitting on it made the cushions collapse into the bed mechanism. Would never recommend to anyone I know.Not cheap and really poor value

As a paying customer we felt like a complete inconvenience to reception staff.
Housekeeping had far superior people skills.
Outdoor pool was well warm. Outdoor 'spa' needs attention. Private outdoor spa is satisfactory and super temp.

Good price for what it is. The shower was amazing, beds were lovely to sleep in. Right on the water front.
Quite cold rooms, with the high ceilings and no double glazing, but they have heat pumbs and only takes a couple of minutes to heat the room to a good temp.
Little outdated with standard wear and tear but it is clean.
Overall I would still stay again!

The unit of the Oasis Beach Resort was much nicer than the outside of the motel indicates. Plenty of space, comfortable bed and the bedroom was dark enough to be able to sleep. Also the unit had everything which a guest would require. A heated pool was just outside my backdoor. The only negative point I have to make was the reception on my arrival. This was the least friendly reception which I have experienced on my three week trip around the North Island. Perhaps the (caucasian) woman had a bad day, it can't be blamed on PMT, she was too old for that !
