Cecilia Hotel is incredible! It is a great location for a great price and the rooms are clean and comfortable. But the best thing about Cecilia was the amazing staff! I came to Egypt for a study abroad semester, and I was really scared being in Egypt by myself as a young woman, especially since I had never left my country before. Everyone at Cecilia was so kind and made me feel very safe and welcome in Cairo. They even helped me with my Arabic lessons and with finding an apartment for the rest of the semester. Also the breakfast was great. Thank you Cecilia!

Great location right in the center of Cairo. Lovely balcony overlooking the city, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

The property told my father that they canceled the reservation which not received any cancellation or message!! and my dad didn’t know where to go after a long distance trip , the hostle made him waiting up to 6 hours ! Poor communication and not honest! Of course I do not recommend!

Absolutely delightful family-run hotel in a quiet street in the heart of Cairo. Full of bohemian charm. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Incredibly convenient for Egyptian Museum (less than 10 min walk). We loved it!

Very happy with my stay.... Place was clean and bed was comfy. Staff were very nice and friendly... Lovely breakfast ... Location is excellent in a cool lively area with loads of places to eat .... Enjoyed watching the resident Egyptian doves and white pigeons that come and visit feeding stations near the roof terrace.

I had a wonderful stay at Cecilia Hostel! The hostel is so cozy and it's in a perfect location. Best of all, the staff is incredible! They were so kind, friendly and helpful. I felt completely at home. I highly recommend this hostel!

George the owner has a great team working there. They are very welcoming, they offer a great breakfast and tea plus coffee any time. The roof is a neat meeting point. I entered as a guest and exited as a friend!

Very good place to stay in a convenient area in Cairo. Nothing flashy, but for the price it is an incredible deal. Breakfast was complimentary and great.

Actually, in spite of it is shown as a hotel, it looks more as a hostel. I don't know, maybe for Cairo is ok to have such bad premises (old furnished rooms with broken sockets and air conditioning system, unpainted walls, old bathrooms) and use them as hotel, but expectations were more. Also, the hotel's building is not safe as technically as from the point of dirty (construction garbage, wastes) around the entrance. The staff was trying to be helpful, but due to the lack of experience, they doesn't do it in the best way. For example, up to my request they organize the tour for me, but later tried to charge me more than we've negotiated. Breakfast is quite specific and up to personal tasty.

I stayed there for a month and during the stay the staff were all good,kind and very friendly
They gave me a full of kindness and warm welcome
The room is clean and the atmosphere of lobby is also good with Arabic music
The hotel is near the Tahrir square and Sadat station also there're good restaurants close to the hotel so it's really convenient to go around near the hotel
Ultimately I wanna appreciate the hotel staff's warm welcome and also wanna go back to there soon

On the hotel website, the photo shows that the towels are provided: there was no towel in my room. I asked the receptionist who gave me one. After I had my shower, the room was flooded with water! The big soap left on the sink has already been used by previous customers. There was no lift and the hotel is at the 6th floor (it was very hot :43 degrees!!! luckily there was air conditioning in the room) The breakfast was good. The staff were very nice and very helpful.Thanks for your help during my short stay!

For that price, you can't get better in Cairo. The staff was vey nice. The location is in the center of cairo. So don't search the luxe and go on. Just turn back to the hotel to sleep :)

The hotel is very flexibly located. The price is completely affordable for a student. The staff is very friendly and make all effort to help you in anything which might not even be their responsibility. The place where you have breakfast is amazing. It is on the balcony, you can really relax while having a breakfast and have very positive mood.

The hotel is located in a very old building as is most of all the hostels downtown, but what makes this one different is the amazing terrace and the staff and owners. I had a wonderful time staying there and wasn't bothered at all. The Internet needs improvement but you will eventually feel like a family there with some of its long term residence.
