Great funky motel/hotel. Staff were wonderful. Loved the social happy hour with the bar on site. Great to meet others after a fun day exploring Manitou Springs. Definitely would stay there again.

The Buffalo Lodge is full of charm and welcoming staff. We felt like family as soon as we arrived. A wonderful stay for a couple from the Midwest looking to explore the Garden of the Gods, Manitou Springs and Pikes Peak. The pool was a refreshing option after returning from our explorations. Bravo Buffalo Lodge staff.

We loved the buffalo lodge. You can borrow bikes to ride to the Garden of Gods and the pool was amazing. The rooms are decorated so cute . Definitely would stay here again.

We enjoyed this place, thoroughly. The rooms and common areas were clean. The staff was friendly. You felt safe. Other guest were polite. We requested more towels the first morning and new bed linens after the first night and they restocked the room with the right amount of towels when they remade the beds. This was a thoughtful touch. The thing to realize when staying here is that this is not a major chain. It's locally owned and operated. The main building is over 100 years old. So it isn't the most modern place to stay. But it makes up for all that and more! We used to free bike rentals to explore the area on a cool morning.

Our 1st room was a King room with a really outdated shower and toilet. It wobbled and was too small for us. We paid a little extra to switch rooms which was a king suite and made the stay so much better. If you are used to luxury and higher end hotels this place is not for you. The basic king room does have a small fridge and microwave. No shelf space in the bathroom and looked like it had not been updated in 30-40 years. Fun vintage atmosphere but when it rains the horse barn behind you smells really bad. They should update ALL the bathrooms not just some. Even the shower curtain was moldy in our 1st room. Don’t expect great water pressure. If you have long or thick hair this place may not be ideal for you. We thought we read they had a hot tub, but there is NOT a hot tub. They also need larger TV’s in the king room and it would be good to have a 2nd TV for those cabins with a separate room. We liked the location outside Garden of the God’s near Manitou Springs. There was only a food truck there 1 night for our 4 night stay. The beds were comfortable. The staff is friendly.

Clean, nice and different than a normal hotel. Here for a high school rodeo, and we were worried about it being a little too hippy dippy. But it was really nice. Will definitely stay here over a normal hotel again. Super nice staff. Good job! Was able to carefully park a big dally pickup. It honestly reminded me of a hostel in Costa Rica or europe

The vibe and people were terrific. Loved the lodge and room concepts are great. New nicely done pool. My room was run down. Paint peeling or non existent on doors. Broken down futon for a couch. The baseboards looked dirty and/or need repainted. The floor could have used a good mopping as well.

Amazing time, I wish I had known about this place earlier.

Room was good and clean. Beds were comfortable. Close to plenty of locations nearby to eat at or visit.

Breakfast. Was very limited. The fruit was old and there is really not a good selection of food. We ended up going to Western omlet restaurant which I highly recommend!!!

Love location and size of rooms. Property really needs maintenance. Furniture in my room needed a new couch. Impossible to sit on and forget about using it as a bed. We had to bring in an air mattress which was not easy. Breakfast area organization is lacking. Coffee cups and coffee pots were in between the waffle maker and the toaster. Very congested area. Perhaps use the bar for morning coffee area. Another suggestion is a flyswatter for the rooms.

Great spot next to Garden of the Gods

It is a neat little hotel that has a great location and very fun local vibe. The exterior looks dated, but that is on purpose. The rooms were well maintained and clean. I really enjoyed the live music and staff.

I liked it. The buildings are very old, but the rooms have everything you need, including fridge, microwave and broom. Very clean, except for the forgotten gap next to the sink. Cute common area, pool, and patio. Pleasant vibe. Near restaurants.

The property need to be upgrade a bit, but I love this property a lot because it is convenience and the property has different activities every night, especially the service is super friendly.

Our stay was excellent! We enjoyed all the lodge had to offer, from the bikes to the kid's games to the breakfast to the pool. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The rooms were comfy and clean, although they skimped on little things like having complimentary lotion. The overall feel reminds me of being at a lake cabin in Minnesota, but with nice motel rooms (and a pool instead of a lake, which the mountains more than make up for!) I recommend this for families looking for adventure and fun in a great location.

It was a cute place to stay and the staff was friendly and quick to respond to questions/requests. It is an older property. The air conditioning in the bedroom had a hard time trying to cool the room. The toilet leaked and there was a smell of sewer gas on the second day.

The property is centrally located to area attractions with many updates within the property. Staff were friendly and super helpful. The property had great live music Wednesday through Sunday. Great place to stay with an active family.
