Before booking, I had read numerous reviews of Marialicia Suites that opined what an amazing place this is... they did not do it justice! My wife and I spent 5 incredible nights in Oaxaca, and as much as we loved the sights, and the food, and the culture - it was the accommodations that really made our trip! Dulce (the manager) and her staff (especially Oscar and Noe) went out of their way again and again to make sure that we were comfortable. It was obvious from the minute we arrived that these individuals were clearly invested in making sure that we enjoyed our experience - both in Oaxaca and at Marialicia Suites. My wife and I celebrated our 20'th anniversary while we were in Oaxaca and Dulce even arranged to have flowers delivered to our room to help us celebrate the moment! I have stayed in hotels all over the world, but have never felt as welcome and valued as I did at Marialicia. We had a great time in Oaxaca and will definitely be back - when that happens I will not even look into any other options for lodging. The only bad thing I could say about Marialicia Suites is that it has probably ruined me for every other hotel I will ever stay at! Many thanks Dulce and all of her staff for making our trip unforgettable.

it was perfect for me

Such a sweet, chic and friendly place! Just outside the madhouse tourist center and close to where the expats seem to favor with great food options and coffee shops. The suite was spacious and very well equipped. The breakfast is wonderful. Can’t say enough good about Marialicia! Across the street is the BEST massage, too. Poleo- ENJOY! Also check out ‘Once in Oaxaca for the best coffee and treats!

Very helpful staff and lovely experience overall.

This stay felt very safe and the manager and staff were professional and helpful when we had questions. The hotel is a 10 to 15 minute walk to the city center which was very convenient. Dulce helped us with airport transports and food recommendations and she was a pleasure to talk to. We would definitely stay here again. It was clean and well maintained and was beautiful as well as quiet.

Beautiful property and friendly staff! The room was gorgeous and we loved the small private terrace. Definitely recommend and I’ll be coming back to stay here for sure!

The property looked just like the surrounding hotels but for a lower cost. The staff were so nice and helpful, we had a large room, Dulce helped us every day.

Amazing property with very clean rooms. They also serve a small selection of breakfast which is amazing. It is also only 7 blocks away from the center of the city.

The best stay staff was so attentive to us. We were on a 4 day stretch from another Mexico visit and they accommodated to send our clothes to wash. Best hotel and would recommend to anyone!

This was a very comfortable place, with very friendly and helpful staff. It's a 10 minute walk to the main square, so it's in a quiet neighborhood. I would be happy to stay here again.

I loved staying here and would love to stay again. The surroundings are beautifully designed and everyone is totally helpful and friendly. The only thing I would suggest is a topper to soften the bed.

Probably the best boutique hotel we have ever stayed at. The design was outstanding, the rooms spacious and well equipped. Dulce, the manager was super helpful and friendly. Neighborhood far enough from the Zocalo to be quiet. Each apartment has its own enclosed patio.

Amazing service!! Great location, lovely clean and comfortable rooms (bed was amazing) and a perfect base to explore the town. Would stay again for sure.

We have no complaints about the property itself. Rooms were good. Little kitchen was cute. The beds were stiff hard not comfortable( I don't like soft beds, but this one hurted my side when i slept on one) The real problem i had when at check in I asked if we can use the court yard table and chairs under our windows, by our front door( our room was on the second floor) The older lady, who was at the reception, said that we could if there was no one on the first floor, but unfortunately there are people there for the same 3 days as us, so we can't because it's not nice to seat by their windows..Ok.. we moved in and I checked my booking. Sure enough the court yard was on our description and for us to use. It was our 20st anniversary. We like drink coffee outside. We like to play chess with my husband and there was no other table available to play on. For some reason, even though we paid to use it, we weren't as important as a people on the 1st floor. When I asked her next morning why did she said we can't use it, she said :" Oh, you could, but it's not nice"... well, It wasn't nice to take away something that was considered as important for us, when I was booking that hotel. One day we came back at 8 pm and our door was wide opened. When I asked why? Same lady says that it's ok. Also, when we were checking out I was waiting by reception for my husband to get the car.Then we loaded the car, said good bye, got into and started car same lady asked to get out and pay for parking

Great spot a 10 minute walk from the zocalo. Loved having the separation of bedroom and kitchenette/sitting area. Safe area but is a walk to majority of restaurants and attractions.

Wonderful proprietor who was generous with her time in helping us plan an itinerary while we there, and in suggesting restaurants in the areas we were travelling to. Each suite has independent walls so there is no noise at all. Overall a fabulous stay.

The property is very well-designed. It is clean, the beds are comfortable, and everyone you meet at the property is unfailingly couteous and avid to make your stay truly pleasing. Everything was just right.

I did a lot of research prior to this trip and this hotel lived up to all of my expectations. It is quiet and comfortable and a 10-15 minute walk from nearly all the top places. However, the best thing about this place is its amazing staff. Dulce is a gem - trust her advice and suggestions. She oversees a wonderful, kind, and ever-so-helpful staff who work hard to make you feel at home. I can't wait to return.

Truly the perfect place to stay in Oaxaca for our family of 4. We had the family suite with 2 bedrooms and a kitchen and it made our stay there dramatically better than any hotel room. The property is in a quiet neighborhood with very easy 10 min walking access to everything you could want in the city center. An easy 25 min ride from the airport also made life easy. The rooms were kept beautifully and the fridge was stocked with everything we needed. Bathrooms and shower were perfect, great water pressure and heat and they made it very easy for our kids with a crib for our infant and helped us get high quality reliable baby sitters when we wanted to go out. Can't recommend this place more!

Very beautiful, clean, compact, and cozy. Would recommend There was an issue with the keycard not opening the room but was quickly solved and had no other problems.

The property is really well located, not too close to the centre but within easy walking distance. It is very clean, and the people at the front desk are extremely welcoming. Rooms with their small kitchenettes are excellent, you get a real sense of space. Highly recommended!

The staff is truly excellent and helpful. The property is located in a great location, about a 12 minute walk from the Zócalo but with many restaurants and other businesses nearby that are a little less touristy than the center.

Just completed a lovely four night stay and everything was extremely nice. Entire staff was super friendly and helpful. Check in and check out was seamless. The hotel is newly redecorated and everything was really well done and modern. Comfortable beds, nice towels, plenty of bath amenities and most importantly very clean. The hotel is about an 8 block, 12 minute walk to main part of Centro which wasn't perfect but not a problem. Definitely recommend this place for a couple or family looking for a little more room in a relaxing environment with super nice staff.
