I think this is my fourth or fifth stay at The White Inn.
My first stay was April 2018, and my last was just before the pandemic in September 2019. I've been travelling to Cambodia since 2022 but decided to switch back to Laos for a change.
After my first stay in 2018, I recall posting something along the lines of "I can't see any reason why I'd stay someone else in Nong Khai."
And I haven't.
Lift has improved in speed and the cleanliness, room comfort, quietness, and staff professionalism is still five stars.
I arrived earlier than expected so I left my passport for the well spoken receptionist to scan and went for lunch at one of the local restaurants. Came back. All ready to go. It may sound odd, but I'm fairly sure I've stayed in that same room at least twice before.
Anyway, a comfortable, enjoyable experience with bottled water, good water pressure, and a hard comfortable bed.
And the pricing is spot on, too. 700 or so Baht a night.
Will return again next year.

We stated at this place since 2007 at this place has been running down Ever sent. I guess the upkeep is not up-to-date and we will start looking for a new place to stay starting now

The Manager and staff are very helpful, friendly and kinds. We got upgrade and the superior room was huge. Location was very handy to everywhere, many goods foods outlets, restaurants and bars nearby.

Basic accommodations in a convenient central Nong Khai quiet Soi…several restaurants and small bars steps away. Easy parking adjacent to the hotel. Excellent value!

Never have a bad stay here. Always my first choice hotel. And I’m in Nong Khai 4 times a year. Great value. Great location. Clean and tidy. What more can anyone ask for.

Good hotel close to bus station large modern room and big bed the bath room lets it down pour finish Tv went faulty after a couple of hours.

Room a decent size and the bathroom was spotless - and smelled of disinfectant which is encouraging.
Brand new LCD TV (the boxes were stored in a nook outside) and bed was large and hard.
Convenient to restaurants, night life, and walking distance to the river and the promenade.
I shall return.

Having spent the night on an overnight train we called the hotel and were allowed to check in really early. Despite the room not being ready (at 7am) the owner allowed us to freshen up in the bathroom and gave us lots of information about the town so we could have a wander. When we returned the room was spotless, MASSIVE and had great air con,international cable tv and comfortable beds. The bathroom was also really big and clean/well maintained. Our only slight gripe was the lack of hot water but that's pretty universal. A cool shower was really refreshing after the heat of the day anyway.
The service was excellent and hotel staff were very friendly. The hotel was only a few minutes walk from the river and convenient for shops, food and bars. We loved our stay and would definitely return.
