The pool and bar are great. Parking is fantastic large lots of room for any vehicle. The bolted is very conveniently located in the Downtown of Playa del Carmen. I’d return here it was great.

The stay super exceeded my expectations. The hotel was beautiful and felt very intimate while also was very clean. The staff was all amzing and very pleasant. I loved the location was perfect being that it was approximately a 3 minute walk to 5th street. There was never any loud noise which was perfect for a great night sleep. I will definitely be coming back😊

First and foremost, I would like to express my gratitude to the hotel staff, who were exceptionally kind, polite, gentle, and helpful throughout my stay. Their sincerity was evident, as not once did anyone expect or ask for tips for the services they provided. The environment is clean and tranquil, making it unsuitable for those seeking a party atmosphere. Situated just three short blocks from 5th Avenue, the hotel is conveniently close to numerous restaurants, clubs, and shops. Despite its proximity to the 5th avenue, noise from nearby clubs is minimal, as the hotel is not located directly at the intersection where most clubs are situated. Consequently, outside noise is quite manageable and has never disrupted my sleep. The hotel itself is typically quiet, and after 11 pm, it becomes incredibly serene and relaxing. The cleanliness of the hotel is outstanding, and the housekeeping staff are not only efficient but also incredibly respectful. On multiple occasions, I have left money in the bathroom, and each time, it has been untouched and exactly where I left it. The breakfast offered is satisfying, with a variety of options available on the menu. While the choices may become somewhat repetitive for long-term stays, there are still plenty of options to choose from. Overall, I wish you a pleasant trip. This hotel is both beautiful and conveniently located.

all was ok

Overall the hotel was a great option due to the price of the room and location. Bed was comfortable, decent size TV, rainfall shower and lounging area. The hotel felt safe and the pool was a great place to hang out and relax. Only a few spots see the sun though so get there early if you want to reserve a sunny chair. Things we didn't like were the price of the food and drinks were way too high. Two drinks cost $26 USD! That's too much and seems they are trying to make their money in price of drinks to compensate the cheap price of room. Breakfast buffet wasn't very good either. Poor quality hot food. Best part was the fresh juice and egg made to order. Everything else can go on the garbage. Elevator seemed to be out of service multiple times and the AC stopped working in our room. I will say the staff was quick to fix it though!

We had an excellent stay here ! The rooms were large and cleaned excellently every day, the staff were all really friendly and the breakfast was plentiful and tasty with fresh eggs served to taste which were great! It was a great base for us. 5 minute walk to 5th Ave and plenty out so that it was so quiet on a night time! The waiting staff work really hard here! Fabian who we saw every morning always went out of his way to speak to our children and we were always checked on to see if we needed anything. The bar staff also work really hard and always smile and say hello! It really was a perfect 2 week stay! Thank you to everyone!

The pool area was really good and drinks and food in the restaurant. The breakfast was good but I had higher expectations for a 4 star hotel. The staff in the restaurant/breakfast were nice, specially one guy, he was very friendly. It was not possible to dry swimsuits in the room so it became a bit smelly in the room. The air condition was extremely loud. The staff were nice but not so service minded. Every time I asked for something it’s seemed like it was a problem, nothing seemed to be easy for them and everything they had to ask the manager about.

Great location, but far enough from the action that it’s quiet. Great stay at HM Playa, with an excellent breakfast Buffett! Will definitely book here again!

Very friendly staff & clean.

This hotel was so beautiful. The aesthetics had a fresh bohemian vibe. It was clean and modern with Mayan flair. The workers were all friendly and helpful. They provide water as well and ac and the WiFi works well. The only thing I would like to see would be coffee in the rooms (but there are lots of cafes nearby). The courtyard with the pool and little restaurant bar was great. Lounging around the pool, sitting on the swing chairs, swimming in the cool pool, and ordering one of the bars delicious cocktails was perfect after hot days walking around the city. The location was ideal, everything you could want to do in the city is in walking distance, and the hotel is a bit off the main strip so it’s quiet at night. We were lucky that it was Carnaval while we were there and we stepped outside to a parade. We would definitely love to stay here again! We had a wonderful time.

It was a comfortable and quick stay, I like this place is close to the beach really family driven , safe and has late check in as well breakfast included, everyone is very kind and delivers good service. I'll stay again there.

Awesome shower! Great area to walk around in. Right by the outdoor mall. Clean room. Pretty room and hotel inside. Outside of the building a little boring but the inside is really nice.

I liked the property. The breakfast was excellent, but it was pricy. The only complaint I have is that the fragrance of the detergent they use to clean the room (maybe scented clorox (?)) was way too strong. So, my throat and noise had pains. We had to leave the window open throughout the day to ventilate the room. I strongly recommend the hotel to change the detergent to an unscented one. This is serious.

This is a great hotel in the perfect location, not too close to quinta ave to be noisy but still walking distance. I've stained 3 times and had 0 problems.

Staff are professional and very polite. Cleanin is high standard, food is good but hotel price is too high.

The quality - price is good. And the location is excellent. The only issue we had was in our breakfast, we were eating and as it was 11:10, the waiter was asking us to leave as soon as possible. I dont recommend to pay for the breakfast, there are better places near to the hotel

Everything in the hotel was great the only issue i had was the noise in the room from th airconditioning and the noise of toilet flushes and showers from the room above. Pool and bar staff were exceptionally good and very courteous.
