I like all the staff specially my friends in the kitchen I have to have a ginger tea every morning but I didn’t catch her name well the guys in front are all nice housekeepers done a great job and attentive

Sandra gave us a lovely welcome and looked after us with transportation from airport. Room spacious and clean. Breakfast offerings good and special mention to Carmel and Mauva from the kitchen . No glasses or cups in the room , no toiletries ( soap only ) , no kettle as advertised. Great place for a night to visit Bob Marley museum and attractions.

Rooms are a bit outdated, bathtub wasnt cleaned properly when we arrived dirt was still in the tub, we had wash it out. Construction was directly happening to right of our room so loud drilling sounds kept me away. The tv was a joke ots so small and there was so many news channels and nothing else interesting to watch ,very limited they definitely need to upgrade items in the rooms, especially the loud old doors for each room entrance that creaks so much and slams so loudly. There should be a microwave in each room to allow for guests to be comfortable and not have to go downstairs to warm their food. This place has so much potential if thevtime is taken to make a few upgrades,updates.

Very nice and cozy, the bed felt great. Breakfast at Maura’s was great, staff was pleasant. Only issue the TV did not work.

Amazing stay, great and friendly staff. Bed was comfortable, the pillows were the best. Location was great too, close to Bob Marley Museum, Devon house, halfway tree. Nothing to complain about, hope to return sometime

First and Foremost I most thank the staff they are so nice,every day my room is clean,when i come back in the night room is fresh and clean,the front desk clean are so nice,OMG not to mention the cooking,the ackee,saltfish,calaloo,and fried dumplings i haven't eating in many years,so delicious Everthing is exceptional great,i will definitely recommend my friends and family to come there Thanks so much for the accommodation its well appreciated ❤️

The staff are incredible even though the building is a bit old. I was unlucky and my air conditioner really didnt work. I'm okay with the heat though and took a couple of cold showers and felt as right as rain. The beds are comfortable. The place is nice, just in need of some updates.

This is my 3rd time staying at this hotel and the staff are always friendly and accommodating. I always enjoy it here.

I liked the location. It's near to restaurants and bars. The staff was friendly. It would have been nice to have at least shampoo, an ironing board and iron in the room. Construction noise next door during the day was bothersome but out of control of the hotel.

It is nice for safe and easy stay if you are experienced traveler, but party near hotel everynight. Some friendly staff and gurds 24 hrs.Try nice Jamaican breakfast. Less than 10 rooms and 3 minutes walk for small supermarket.

I stayed at the hotel a couple nights it was a convenient location close to the Bob Marley museum which I wanted to visit for the movie release. Great staff. Air condition in the room wasn’t very good but nice high ceilings and I felt safe overall. Lots of construction going on next door and in the area when I stayed in Feb 2024. Not fancy but gets the job done. Make sure to have cash on hand as there is no debit machine to purchase anything from the hotel itself like beer/ water and breakfast in the morning is not included. I would stay again.

Very clean botique hotel. The room was spotless with beautiful high vaulted ceilings. The bed was super comfy Customer was exceptional! Great price for the room!

From beginning to end I loved my stay at Shirley Retreat Hotel. The staff was amazing, the breakfast was amazing (I was looking forward to trying the Ackee and Salt fish as a Dominican who is familiar with bacalao) and it was yummy. I’m a city girl so walking 1/2 mile either way to the Bob Marley Museum (actually less) or Devon House was a literal breeze with butterflies fluttering around you (if you have the right energy) along the way.

Okay for an overnight stay

Loved!!!! Our stay at the Shirley. This house is to the point. It is located nearby, Bob Marley, museum, Kaya House, and Cru bar which was delicious. The staff is the sweetest ever. It is very very clean overall. The bed was super comfortable. The sheets were comfortable clean soft pillows were great. Bathroom was clean. TV had Netflix and good AC. There was no issues. It is not a fancy place but it is perfect for a few days to be in Kingston. I will totally recommended and will definitely stay there again. Patrick one of the employees was very attentive and all very friendly. Thank you very much.!!
