Beach was beautiful. Food not enough selection. The place need updating. Especially no A/C .

Wonderful setting with the owners and staff a whole lot of fun. Lots of sunshine from the skies and the people. Food excellent, rooms very good and spotless. Great bar and restaurant with unbeatable views.

Absolutely excellent stay - we were here for 8 nights and it was idyllic. Staff were all super friendly and rooms were v comfy and clean. Our bungalow on the beach was excellent too.

I like the ambiance of the place. Didn't like they have no AC in the rooms.

Highly recommended! The most expectional part at this hotel was the service from manager and bar/restaurant people. The hotel is small which was perfect for us since so relaxing. Beach is so quite and nice.... Food was great too....

What a perfect little slice of heaven this place is!! Isolated from the hectic tourism / aggressive sellers of other parts of the island; this place was absolutely perfect to unwind at the end of our mainland safari. Definitely not the cheapest place on the island for the room prices or for food / drink prices but amazing quality, value and service built in to everything they do. All of the staff members seemed to genuinely care that you have nothing to worry about at all during your stay! Thanks!

Really cute hotel! Overall was great. They forgot our airport pick ups BUT I have to say their response was fantastic and they were incredibly apologetic and made up for it. The food is good and menu changes every meal based on the local catches. Great kitchen. Staff are so nice!

This boutique hotel is truly magic. We stayed here fore one week and enjoyed every minute of it. If you look for a relaxing stay at a small-scale hotel with good service this is the place. Breakfast is served at the edge of the beach with a breath-taking view, the staff make you feel at home, the food is delicious though a bit pricy. Usually at holidays we pop around doing different activities but this time we stayed mostly in the surroundings enjoying the excellent facility, walking and running on the beach. However, we took a boat trip to Mnemba atoll twice to snorkel. Marvellous experience swimming with colourful fishes. Though the hotel is literately on the beach one has to adjust swimming to the tide. The staff and a tide-schedule in the bar are at help. Many thanks to the manager who assisted us and went to the pharmacy to get us some medicine when an acute need arose. At this place you are truly taken care of. My best recommendations.

The beach was a big downfall compared to Jambiani area, there is a lot of coral and sea urchins (bring water shoes) so swimming was not really possible. Thankful for the pool in this case. The bed was very springy and the sheets were extremely rough(pilly). All in all the place is nice! Food was delicious and highly recommend selecting the full board menu! Not many other options anywhere close by.

This hotel is GORGEOUS, the food is really good and well priced. Rooms are very cute, well decorated with local made pieces and comfortable. The really special stand out thing here is the staff- they are truly lovely people and their warmth and professionalism shaped our stay. I can't wait to go back.

Wonder place, food and stuff.

Had a great stay with friends for 2 nights. The hotel is small and directly on the beach. The food is good quality and nice selction of drinks in the bar. Bartender is good. The rooms are small but clean and nice. Very quiet and relaxing. The beach is beautiful and it is safe and not many people bothering you. We went running and walking for miles both north and south. We did a short snorkle trip to the small island close by. Paid only $35 for 2 people for a couple of hours from a guy on the beach. Saw lots of nice fish. The hotel has bikes to borrow for using on the beach but they did not work really well. But who needs bikes when you can walk or run. There was another small little hotel next doors, just 100m up the beach, it was called Bandas. We went there for dinner and live Zanzibarian music one night and it was very nice but slightly pricey. I highly recommend 2-3 nights at this hotel, it is just beautiful and so relaxing.

The hotel itself was exactly as per the pictures, we loved the feel of the place and felt very comfortable very quickly. The rooms were spacious and although did not have air con (which we were aware of before hand) were kept to a high standard and had a lovely balcony overlooking the pool and beach. Being an eco hotel the turn down service was not every day but if you requested clean towels they were more than welcome to oblige with no trouble. The food at the restaurant was outstanding! We loved every meal that we had there and as mentioned in previous reviews there are no local restaurants within easy reach so to have this service at the restaurant was amazing! And although prices might have been slightly higher than local prices we felts the standard was well worth the price! One of the favourite parts of the whole trip for me was meeting all the amazing staff at the hotel! Every single person that we met at the hotel were incredibly friendly and always had a smile on there face! They made you feel completely at home! One of the bar men even took us for a walk out to the local sandbank on his break to show us the local area. The manager also went above and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.

There is no air conditioner only the fan, but honestly it is absolutely fine and sufficient. the beach is amazing in both cases - during high tide or low tide. What about the restaurant - I don't think I had better meals anywhere else on island. Really amazing food!!! Hotel offer all possible trips on island. I highly recommend this hotel if you are traveling as couple.
