The location

No wifi in rooms or in common areas the entire time. Was t able to communicate with group or work remotely. Was promised a discount on dinner, but after we ordered they refused to honor it. Would have stayed somewhere else if they were honest about their lack of wifi.

There was a lady there Mimi she was exceptional , excellent 👍. She was very helpful. If all the employees especially at the reception and the security guards would imitate her hospitality that would be great. The room was clean and fresh.

on one best of beach in Nungwi and mya be in Zanzibar. Sunset is also perfect.

Food is not value for money. I would suggest breakfeast inclueded option and eat ouside. there are very good local restaurants near by

The property is absolutely beautiful. The location is great. The pool area is very nice. The bar staff is very nice. And the bar offering and set up was good. I can’t over emphasize how helpful, friendly and polite. All of the staff were. The rooms were clean and nicely appointed, and the hot water was very hot which was very nice. I felt safe there as a solo traveler.

The air conditioning in my room could’ve been colder, and I absolutely hated the food, especially the lunch and dinner options. While there was a lot to choose from it was all very bland, and it would’ve been great if they offered more authentic African cuisine rather than so much Eurocentric food, I understand the clientele is primarily European and white but my goodness we are in Africa.

Loved the location and how lively the beach gets every afternoon when all the locals come out to play in the water. Great seeing them having so much fun.

The security guards would not allow my 13 year old boy to play football on the public beach in front of the hotel even though we were staying in the hotel and the beach was a public one. This was a real shame and my son was disappointed as he really wanted to play with some of the local kids. Breakfast could have been a bit better with healthier options. For e.g. no oats to make myself a museli as they only have all those very sweet Cornflakes and Coco Pops, etc. Sea urchins. Be very careful when walking in the water. A lot of guests, including my son, walked on them and ended up in a lot of pain. Suggest you bring proper shoes if you plan to visit this hotel. The hotel should have warned us when we checked in but never did. Apparently they said there are signs around the hotel in regards to this but we never saw any and we stayed for 1 week.

Pool, activities, company, staff and the food. After check out, they kept our luggages and gave us a new room to shower before the flight. They were amazing.

We are sorry we booked only bad and breakfast when we should have booked all-inclusive because the hotel is great!!

Great hotel. Not the fanciest, but has all you need. The location is perfect, the beach is really special and beautiful. We didn't take the all inclusive and didn't miss it, as there are so many restaurant choices around. We did eat lunch twice in the hotel (16$ pp, a bit expensive), was good!

Small things were not "perfect", as chipped furniture, blankets were not so nice and scratched glasses in the bar but this really did not bother or affect our stay.

forgot my birthday cake request and when reminded, yet never made way to me! the lack of breakfast varieties- same menu for 3 nights can be boring

We had to upgrade to all inclusive as it is quite expensive it you order from the menu. It is best to book all inclusìve or premium all inclusive from the start. You'll have the best time at Sandies Baobab Beach Zanzibar.
