From the minute you enter this establishment you feel like the gentry in a chateau. Michael and Gilles are the perfect hosts and make everything absolutely perfect.

We had a fabulous stay and felt that all of our needs were met as though we were at home. The breakfasts were extremely delicious and relaxing, and the garden was very beautiful and totally enhanced our stay. The hosts were very accommodating throughout our visit and helped us enjoy the features of a 1752 home. Staying here was a highlight of our recent trip to Europe.

This place is truly magical. From the gardens that greet you, to the house and rooms themselves, you will feel like you're staying in a feature article from Architectural Digest. Michael and Gilles were so kind and helpful - from being the most hospitable hosts to making dinner reservations for us, we felt completely cared for the entire time we were there. The home is just right in the middle of the city and you can walk everywhere. The breakfasts in the morning were the perfect way to start our days (my husband said the croissant was the best he'd ever had!) The gardens were perfect for taking in an afternoon drink after a long day of D-Day tours. We bought cider from them, but there are also wine stores right in town. Just a couple notes: This is a small town and the days we were there, a lot of things were closed, so I'd definitely recommend making reservations for dinner in advance or asking Michael and Gilles about this when you first arrive. There was some shower gel, but no shampoo or conditioner. This was not a problem, but just something that would've been helpful to know in advance. The pillows were not as firm as we're used to, but again, just a minor inconvenience. Also to note - check-in is 6-8pm. Since the site states this, it was not a surprise, but something that may affect your lodging choice. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone coming through Bayeux, especially if you're doing a D-Day tour, as many of them seem to leave directly from Bayeux.

This is a beautiful guesthouse with wonderful hosts Gilles and Michael. The location is perfect… a five minute walk to excellent restaurants, cathedral and museums. The decor was gorgeous as were the extensive gardens. The bathrooms were updated and modern and good water pressure in the shower. Breakfast was included and was fabulous! So delicious and plenty of food. We came on the recommendation of friends and would absolutely stay here again if we return to Bayeux. Highly recommend!

If I could give more than 5 stars I certainly would. The owners lovingly restored an old house in the middle of Bayeux into a beautiful, comfortable, quiet haven, steps away from the charms of the town. Service was professional and friendly, our room was exquisitely furnished and sparkling clean, and the location is unbeatable. Above all, though, the hosts were delightful. An absolutely lovely stay.

This is a very special place. Your hosts Michael and Gilles are warm and friendly. The gardens are beautiful. This is not a hotel. It is a guest house. The location is superb for walking around historic Bayeoux.

We can't say enough good things about our stay. The owners are super friendly, charming and helpful. We could have stayed four more nights easily. Breakfast was incredible and featured a different pastry every morning. Rooms are decorated so that one feels like one is staying in an old mansion. Our best hotel out of five for our trip.

Charming old mansion right in town and close to everything in Bayeux, but quiet with its courtyard. Almost like stepping back in time, but with modern services. Gilles and Michael were very friendly and personable hosts.

Wonderful hosts (can I give 10 stars?) who were full of personality and gentle humour - and helpfulness. The room is large and beautifully decorated with many lovely - and unexpected - touches of artistic thought. I loved the shower tiles design. Bed: comfy, large and lovely quality sheets! It is a small guest house with charming gardens front and back. Great breakfast on the most beautifully laid-out table.

An extraordinary property: a beautiful historic building which has been superbly renovated, retaining its original charm but now featuring modern bathrooms and facilities and the most wonderful garden. If this were not enough, Gilles et Michael are amazing hosts and went above and beyond the call of duty to help us when one of our party was taken ill. We'll never forget their kindness. Can't wait to go back.

This place was fabulous! My friend and I loved it! The accommodation is a stylishly decorated old château with a small amount of individual rooms and a lovely backyard. Our en suite was very large with a comfortable bed and accompanying furniture from the 1800s to early 1900s. Moreover, every morning, we were summoned by the light sounds of jazz and treated to a filling breakfast laid out on a splendid display of antique China.

Excellent accommodation all around at this B&B. Bayeux is a wonderful place to stay in Normandy.

This property was gorgeous outside and inside; close to everything but on a very quiet street. The room was spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Breakfasts were delicious. Michael and Gilles were the best hosts! I highly recommend staying here.

This is a beautifully restored old home! Giles and Michel were the consummate hosts! The rooms are very comfortable and clean. I would most definitely stay here again if I were in the area. Great location for the sites in Bayeux and for the Normandy beaches! Restaurants and shops are walkable distances!

How difficult to list the things we liked! We loved everything,but especially the hosts, Michael and Gilles! They couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. I left my phone on the breakfast table when we left to meet up for our tour of Normandy and Gilles raced after us and found us over a block away. Every question we had Michael or Gilles answered or found the solution. Breakfasts were wonderful. The room was spacious and comfortable. The grounds were beautiful. It was conveniently located near downtown. We would gladly stay there again!

Great stay in Bayeux. In the center of the city, but very quiet. The Hotel is a jewel. The hosts are simply lovely.

Bayaux is the best place to stay if you want to explore the beaches and do a day trip to Mont St. Michel. The rooms were large with nice bathrooms and showers. They property has 2 beautiful gardens. In the front it was smaller. The back garden was huge. One of the best places I ever stayed.

I cannot say enough great things about this place and the owners -- Gilles and Michael. I felt like I was transported back in time to an old country manor. My room was enormous and was exceptionally well appointed down to the last detail. Gilles and Michael renovated this property keeping the old world charm but at the same time modernizing the bathrooms such that guests have the best of both worlds. You are situated right smack in the middle of Bayeux in walking distance of pretty much everything! Yet, if you sit in the quaint courtyard late at night or early in the morning, you can hear a pin drop as it is so quiet and peaceful! Gilles and Michael are exceptionally gracious hosts and they offer an exceptionally good breakfast and will check with you the night before to see when you would like it served! I plan on going back to Bayeux and I have no need to look at any other hotels --- if this one is available, this is where I will stay!
