I love the Essenhaus. It is so home-like and I love the cookies and coffee available. We had a wonderful relaxing evening and breakfast!

Excellent stay we were very surprised and will definitely be back. We especially loved having dinner at the neighboring restaurant and loved that the hotel gave us a pass to minimize the wait time as it is very popular and delicious.

Essenhaus was a great spot to return to after a day of shopping in Goshen to rest up for a day if shopping in Nappanee. It was quiet, had nice shops, a modern roomy bathroom and was very comfortable. The maple frosted filled pastry on the breakfast bar was superb!

I absolutely love staying at Essenhaus. The rooms are very clean and the staff is very polite. I feel safe there being a single woman traveling alone. They had nice choices for breakfast. I love the Essenhaus.
I was very excited to eat at Das Dutchman and went for an early dinner 3pm. I desided to have the menu dinner. I stood waiting to be seated about 10min. There were maybe 6 people eating, very slow. I was finally seated. I had a very polite young man as a waiter. I had 2 wheat rolls that were very dry. I ordered Chicken and noodles over mashed potatoes w/green beans. The green beans had no flavor and woody pieces. The noodles and chicken tasted old and had no flavor. The mashed potatoes were good. I had banana cream pie to go. The pie was old and had a wet bottom crust. I was so dissapointed. Ive had all these foods before and i know how they should taste. I was so tired from my trip i just left. I didnt see how saying anything would have helped. I wont eat there ever again.

Our first time here and will be back! Love the priority seating at the restaurant, comfy beds, great pool. Hot tub was definitely on the cool side but very clean.

A beautiful property with walking trails, ponds and plenty of benches and chairs to gather. Janelle the front desk clerk was very helpful and sweet.

The property was beautiful. We enjoyed the walking trail, the outdoor fire pit, the shops, the bakery and the restaurant on the grounds. We would definitely stay here again.

Very good stay, room was clean and the breakfast was excellent! We stayed at 3 different hotels on our trip and this one definitely had the best breakfast choices and atmosphere. This is our number one choice hotel for a return trip.

We hadn't stayed here for over 25 yrs, but it was just as clean and comfortable as we remembered! Beds are comfy, room was quite roomy, food at breakfast was plentiful and good. You also get a 'reservation' at the Essen Haus restaurant, moving you ahead of the 1 hr wait. The grounds are lovely and very walkable.

Nice clean room. Served its purpose. Breakfast was great.The only strange thing was the small TV, stuck in a small cabinet with doors on it. The reception was so so. But, I would go back there again.

It was situated in a quiet, peaceful area. The hotel itself needs some updating. The breakfast choices were ok. Pool was small and kidney shaped. In my opinion, price was quite high for what you received.
