Great location with a sea view.

Big spacious room, clean. Friendly staff, excellent location. Amazing value for money

At first, my experience was not great but not because there was nothing wrong with the hostal. Unfortunately, I had a bedroom mate that was really drunk and loud. When I thought it was too much, I went down to the reception. I explained the situation to Joaquin and he said he was sorry about it and that he was going to change my room immediately. After that, the rest of the stay was very nice. I had a good sleep. My other roommates were quiet and respectful. The room and the bathroom were clean. I liked the breakfast. Ham & cheese toastie with coffee and juice. The service was very nice and friendly. The location is very good, just a few meters from the seaside although my room didn’t have a memorable view. In conclusion, I recommend this place if you're looking for a cosy stay in Bristol and your budget isn’t large.

Amazing hotel, spotless, comfortable bed and bedding, well stocked toiletries and tea coffee etc, hairdryer. Very spacious rooms and hanging space. Even events to attend some free like yoga session. Reception staff so helpful and knowledgeable. Near to shops restaurants and beach front. Could not fault and would defiantly stay again

Excellent hotel, close to seafront and shopping area, room very spacious, spotless, comfortable, nicely decorated and couldn’t fault.Plenty of power points, good lighting and well stocked tea, coffee,shower gels etc. Free Wi-Fi. Even had some free events to attend on certain days. Receptionist was so nice , informative, caring and really helpful. Will definitely stay again

There was a problem with my reservation however the staff were very help and sorted it out.

The stay was fine , would have been nice to have a kettle in the room so we could make drinks in the morning without having to move from the room

Fabulous for what we needed

Very tatty. More like a hostel than a hotel. We booked bed and breakfast. Breakfast was very poor choice. A croissant, some sort of cereal pot and a cheese toasty. The rooms were basic but functional and the location was good but overall disappointed - definitely not as advertised.

The staff is amazing, Olivia was incredibly accomodating. Location is good, and for the price it well worth your money.

We appreciated the proximity to the beach, walkable location to everything, and the design aesthetic of the space.

Poor staff attitude

The staff were super friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable. The room could have used a bit more surface space like a bigger desk or a chest of drawers and the shower pressure was weak.

I have seen so many negative reviews about this hotel but personally I can't see why. The location is good and the room I stayed in was beautiful, clean and very comfy with a great view of the sea. The room had a great personality and I loved the use of the older furniture. The bed was amazing, more comfortable than the one I have at home! The staff were friendly and stored out luggage for us when we arrived before check in and on our check out day before we left and arranged a taxi to the station. The only thing I have to criticise is the breakfast, it was the choice of 2 toasties, pastries or granola and yogurt. It wasnt to our taste personally and ended up going for breakfast elsewhere. Overall Its a great base for exploring the area and we only spent time in the room to wind down after being out for dinner and sleeping in which suited us perfectly.

Selina is in a super convenient location for the seafront and plenty of places to eat, close to a lot of bus routes. However, one of the nights I stayed was very noisy outside, even with the windows shut - it was quite difficult to fall asleep with a lot of yelling/drunkenness. However, the hotel itself is lovely - nice decor, nice simple breakfast, good shower, plenty of towels, good bedding, good wifi.

We stayed for business, and this "quirky boutique" hotel may suit some travellers, but not us (we chose it for its location) * Rooms did not have a TV, nor tea and coffee making facilities. We were not informed that tea and coffee was available in reception * We asked for an iron 4 times over 2 days. It was finally provided * Breakfast was a shambles. In fact, we left both days after 40 mins as nothing was provided. On Day 1, half the order was brought over within 35 mins, we asked to put it in a box to take away, and then it was just given to another table * There was no shelving in the bathroom, or indeed sufficient desk space to work

Pros : Well located, spacious rooms, nice staff, comfortable beddings. Cons : clogged sink, small lockers and no electrical outlet for the bunk bed.

Room was clean but the bar was shut the whole time, disappointing since we booked this because it advertised social events and entertainment, breakfast wasn’t as expected even basics like tomato sauce was not included..really should advertise the breakfast menu before you book for breakfast included, no TV in the room which wasn’t expected, tea and coffee making facilities were not included in the room, you had to go down to reception to make your own hot drinks

The staff were helpful and this hotel is in a great location, across the street from the beach and close to stores and restaurants. Our room was nothing fancy but a great value.

The room was clean and tidy, we had a view of the ocean and the Brighton i360. For the price it was more than I expected. Great location with only a short walk to Churchill Square and Brighton Pier. The central station is also within walking distance, approximately 15-20 minutes. The hotel staff was friendly and let us leave our bags after we checked out. The desk was manned 24/7 so you can leave or enter the hotel at all hours. All in all a good experience and I would recommend Selina to anyone looking to find cheap accommodation in Brighton.

The hotel is conveniently positioned along the seafront, we liked the style of decor, but felt it was not maintained to a standard matching the price that we paid. Breakfast was extremely disappointing, will avoid next time.

The hotel and staff were lovely. The location is perfect as we loved spending as much time at the beach, and not too far from the lanes. The hotel was clean and provided you with all that you needed even completely coffee and water by the front door. I would have wished that the doors to the rooms closed a little quieter as our neighbours kept slamming it especially late in the night. But apart from that we loved our stay!

Really lovely hotel, a bit odd not having coffee and tea making facilities in all rooms however free tea and coffee was available within the reception so wasn’t an issue. Staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful. Would definitely stay again!

Worst hotel to stay. It is not 3 star by any standards. No tv, tea coffee in room. Furniture very old. Terrible breakfast. Avoid at all cost.

Clean and comfy room. Friendly staff and so convenient for the Brighton Centre.
