The room was small but very clean, and we had a car so the location was nice

The host is just looking to get more money! Elena seemed nice but when we where checked in she wanted a $50 deposed which was weird but we didn't think much about it as we only stayed 3 nights so we gave it to her. Until next morning the toilet did not work and she blamed us for breaking it ( plumber came and it was an outside problem) in the evening we where locked out and she blamed us for breaking the lock which we did not have a key from ( apparently her son had closed it by accident) Then next day she blamed us for getting the walls dirty with our bicycles. To make a long story short she wanted the deposed money! When we checked out she said she had to keep $12 because the wall was dirty. We had actually expect her to say something like that after day 1 and everything after that, but we just didn't wanted to ruin our Cabaret experience so we let her have it.

Loved the neighbourhood where the apartment was lovely to see how and where the locals live. Close to the centre but far enough to hear all the noise from there.

Kitchen equipment is very limited, but you can cook food easily still and there is lots of nice restaurants so this didn’t affect my stay here.

location is minutes away from everything, make sure elena tells you about the short cut which allows you to walk to the beach, downtown cabarete,and belgium bakery and coffee shop for breakfast or pasties in minutes. I have stayed in this area other years and this was the quietest of them all . Other places have the loud motorcycles going by frequently but elenas is at the end of a dead end street where everybody knows each other, very safe and quiet with the quick access to everything.

Elena asked us to pay 20 dollars when we arrived because "Booking did a mistake, the appartement you rent cost more" We refuse, she kept us for 20minutes to try to change our mind. We offered her chocolate. She asked us 30 dollars for a table. (Pictures) A table that was stuck with glue and fall appart when we tried to have dinner on it.

It suited my needs

The location is really good, near you can find restaurants and stores, helena is a really nice person and the apartment was very clean. I will go back again.
