James and Stuart are great hosts, an immaculately clean and well run b&b, their years of experience really shines through. With their local knowledge ensuring a lovely stay. Proximity to Watersmeet ( fabulous river walk) and Valley of the Rocks
Ensuite a little tight, loo a little noisy, but still immaculately clean and all you need for a short stay

It was a bit too regimented for my liking. We asked if we could drop our bags off before check in time as the car park was at the bottom of the hill and were told no. I understand that that’s the way they choose to run things but found it a bit rude.

The town and surrounding area is just stunning. This B&B is just superb, a lovely place.

Warm and friendly reception, clean and well presented property, location is great for access to Lynton, Lynmouth and walks along the coast to Valley of the Rocks. Room was very comfortable and quiet.

Great location in Lynton, very close to the cliff railway so excellent for both Lynton and Lynmouth. The owners were very welcoming, friendly and helpful, recommending places to eat (and advising to book in advance) and when we asked for the best walking routes to the Valley of the Rocks and Watersmeet, they talked us through it and gave a map. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked to order, high quality ingredients with great choices.
We were happy with every aspect of our stay.

The 8am - 9am breakfast. Would prefer to have relaxed and been able to have breakfast offered up to 10am. We are on holiday!

The location was perfect, plenty of restaurants, walking and wonderful views.

Vegan english breakfast could do with either a hash brown or tofu scramble. It was just missing something- otherwise delicious.

Easier to access with a car but you can get the 310 bus from Barnstaple if you’re going by train

Delicious breakfast and a great location. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and quiet. It was a pleasure to meet Jane, Charlie and Peanut the dog.

Nothing it was all good considering how many covid restrictions there are.

The breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked. Jane and Charlie were welcoming and friendly. The location was good. Cleanliness with covid was taken very seriously with guests abiding to the wearing of face masks. A number of hand sanitiser stations located throughout building.

Excellent breakfast which kept us going all day! The owners were very friendly and obliging. I would definitely recommend Southcliffe to friends and family.

A very warm welcome from the owners, breakfast was lovely, the room clean and tidy with all the facilities you could wish for.
Shower struggled a bit for pressure at times of peak demand but nothing to 'dampen' the experience.
