My whole family (16 people age 3-70) stayed at the Claus House for 5 nights. It was very comfortable with 7 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. The house and grounds were spacious. The little kids used the playground once, we used the fire pit once, kids played volleyball a few times, adults used the hot tub a few times, mostly it was a home base for other excursions in the Adirondacks. Overall, a great vacation!

This was a perfect location for our girls weekend away. A short walk to the Mirror lake urban trail and all the downtown shops and restaurants. Anne was very helpful. Would recommend this house to a large party staying in Lake Placid.

Traveled with a nordic ski team to compete in a series of races at Mount Van Hoevenberg. This house was perfect for our group size, and everyone had plenty of space. The host was very nice, and was great at checking in on us to ensure everything went smoothly. Lake Placid is a beautiful place, and we will certainly be back.

We travel to Lake Placid for an annual snow shoe trip. The house worked out great for our large group. There were enough bedrooms and beds in each room that accommodated our group well. The parking was really our only issue. There is only parking for 4 cars on premises. Anne gave us access to additional spots about a mile away. We cooked all of our meals in the house and the kitchen had everything we needed. The hot tub was a hit with many of the members of our group.

We had a large group and had a great time. There was plenty of space inside the house and outside and is a great house for all groups. Everything listed on the house’s page was exactly how it was. It was great being within walking distance to town and only 10-15 minutes from Whiteface Mountain. Ann was a great host and was easy to get in touch with. I would rent again!

This was a nice house and true to the description. The property manager Ann was in frequent communication about our stay and stopped by several times to check in. Other than a few minor broken items, the house was in good shape. We would stay here again.

Very clean and certainly big enough for our 16 people. Beds were all comfortable and it had everything we needed as well as tons of towels. Very comfortable we had a fabulous time and our host Ann is a wonderfully women. We felt right at home. Thank you

We had a wonderful experience here! We have never been to Lake Placid so had to rely on the descriptions and photos here. Everything was just as described. We had plenty of room and loved walking to town. We did not have to pack a lot due to how much was already at the house and the double washer and dryers. All ages 4 to 80 had a great time! Thank you so much!

We stayed for a race weekend at VanHo with a large group of 16 (coaches and high school athletes). Mea’s house was the perfect quiet and spacious place for everyone to rest and recover between competitions. Checkin was easy and the house was well equipped for a smooth weekend!

The "Christmas House" was a great place to stay. It was a great spot for a larger party. It had ample bedrooms with very comfortable beds. The neighborhood was great and it was only a short walk to town. I highly recommend it!

My extended family and I stayed here in Sept for my nephew's wedding. The home was large with plenty of space to accommodate everyone without feeling on top of each other. My son and myself both had some work/meetings to do during the week and we had no problems with the Wifi. Everyone stated their beds were very comfortable. The back yard was a wonderful place to have dinner and relax by the fire pit. We especially enjoyed the large hot tub after hikes. Town is just a short walk to enjoy the many restaurants and shops on Main Street. Our host Anne was great and gave a tour upon arrival. If you are a large family or group of friends, this is a great home to rent!

My cousins and friends stayed here for a family trip and it was beautiful! The property was built to impress with the capability of sleeping 40+ guests. It sits a top a very peaceful private community just above the main strip in lake placid. It is about 10 minutes walking to all the shops and restaurants! It has a fully beach volleyball court, fire pit, and the bathrooms are plenty! I recommend this property for all groups and ages ! Anne was delightful and made sure our stay was everything we wanted!

This house was perfect for our trip. The owner is communicative and friendly. The house was clean with plenty of space to sleep, hang out, cook, and relax for all 12 of us. The kitchen was stocked with enough cooking supplies for us to work with and plenty of dishes and utensils. As an added bonus, the mattresses are so soft. All around 10 out of 10 stars!!!

We had an absolutely wonderful time. We stayed there as my son was getting married at St Agnes and it provided a wonderful time for him to spend with us and his siblings and nieces and nephews. It provided space for all to feel comfortable. It was clean, with areas to relax and just read ,grandchildren to play , and room for all to sit down at the table together for a wonderful meal. If you do not wish to cook plenty of restaurants available to dine in or pick up. The joy of Christmas was throughout the house . Beds where so comfortable as well. It felt like December staying at this house. The house was filled with Christmas decor and had everything we could as for. Thought it rained and snowed in late April, we did enjoy the trip and the place. We were 15 of us including kids and adults and very one had a favorite place in the house. What else can we ask during a vacation with all kids that are younger than 13. The host Ann was amazing.. anything said about her would fall short for her responsiveness and the energy she had.. thanks for having us Ann.

The Claus Lodge was the perfect home away from home for our three generations! There was plenty of gathering space, a well-stocked kitchen and comfortable beds for all. The location was convenient to all Lake Placid winter activities. We especially enjoyed the warm fireplaces and hot tub after a cold day of fun! The holiday decorations, throughout the house, enhanced our stay!

We stayed a long weekend at the property with a very large group of family and friends. The house was perfect. Large enough where every family and group could have their own space and bathroom for the most part. Large bunk room for kids. Nice property with hot tub (which was great!) and large fire pit and play area. The house has multiple fire places and seating areas and all the amenities we could have asked for including BBQ, Kitchen Appliances, multiple fridges, Laundry, TVs, and large garage with ping pong table. Would definitely try to stay again. The proximity to town alone was worth it! Even in a foot of fresh snow it took 5 minutes to walk to the lake and town. We really had an amazing time!

House was very nice , clean and ready to go when we arrived . We had a snow storm the night we got there and they sent a plow to come clean us out . The walk to mirror lake would be great in warmer months . Would stay again !

The pictures do not do this house justice. It is a wonderful, cozy house big enough for a large multifamily or friend get together. Its is very close to the restaurants of mirror lake. Anne and her team are also great to work with. Great vacation house!

The house was big enough for my our large family and kids (12) - everyone had their own space and was comfortable during our stay. The hot tub was super cozy in the two feet of snow we had! Walkable to town and in a really nice neighborhood.

Ann was so sweet and helpful. The home was immaculate and location was great. 10 minute walk into town for shopping, different restaurants, dogsledding and of course to visit the museum. Loved all the Christmas decorations at the house. Very festive.
