We spent a wonderful week in Scott’s lovely home. Check-in was a breeze. Scott was there and explained everything about the house. He left a gift basket for us containing wine, fruit, and coffee. The kitchen is well stocked with supplies. Newer appliances are beautiful. Very quiet neighborhood with easy accces to the BART. We would definitely stay here again! Scott is definitely a “Super Host.”

We’ve stayed in many places on visits to our son and his family, but Scott’s place worked especially well for us. With two bedrooms, there was plenty of room for our grandchildren to visit us there where they loved the novelty of the new place which even had a few kid games & books. They liked the miniature sink & shower opening into the bedroom and could have slept there comfortably in the trundle beds. The main bathroom had been refreshed and the kitchen was well supplied. There were a few very loud late night conversations partly because the house abuts the bike path, but otherwise that traffic didn’t bother us. The driveway was a bit tricky to find te first time, but it was great to have a designated spot rather than dealing with street parking regulations. Dining and shopping were convenient for walking or biking, and Scott’s relatives, and their dog, Bella, who share this duplex were very friendly and helpful.

Very nice stay in this apartment ideally located 2 minutes walk from the BART and 10 minutes walk from Target. Had everything we needed for a good stay. Really useful to have a good sized fridge freezer, excellent washing machine and dryer. The apartment came well supplied and was comfortable for two adults and two teens. Correspondence with the owner was good.

Had a great stay, wonderful location, right near the BART station with easy access to SFO, downtown San Francisco, Oakland, and downtown Berkeley.

Scott was a very good communicator and provided useful, thoughtful information about the area. The unit is clean, pleasant, reasonably quiet and very well stocked. It is also very close to the station.

The house had the perfect amount of space to serve as a home base while exploring the East Bay and surrounding areas. The proximity to the subway, nearby parks, and campus cannot be beat. Everything we needed was provided, including a kitchen with all necessary dishes and utensils, towels and linens, fast wifi, and a smart Roku tv. The owner was very polite as was his family who lived next door, and they were ready with great recommendations for nearby restaurants and attractions. Highly recommended!

Scott and family are the perfect hosts. Our stay felt more like visiting family: comfortable, everything you need is there, and nestled in a lovely garden. Scott supplied so many great, detailed suggestions for sightseeing and dining, with tons of travel guides. But wait, there’s more! There’s games, large tv and fully stocked kitchen, for staying in. All the beds and furniture are comfortable, and I got a little nostalgic because the rocking chair is identical to the one in my childhood home. We didn’t want to leave! And I know we’ll be back!

It was very easy to rent this property, and I especially liked the fact that Scott wanted to know a little bit about our visit because it helps him understand what a renter might need especially when it relates to family.

We rented this property as the first place we lived in the Bay Area. It was a warm place to call home as we got to know the area. Scott and his family made us feel truly welcomed. The place is very nice and filled with all the appliances you need (which also worked well) as well as thoughtful amenities. It’s very close to public transportation which is great for going to work or getting around town. We really enjoyed our stay here.

The property is comfortable and well-maintained, with everything we needed right at hand. It is in a lovely neighborhood and the proximity to the BART cannot be beat after a long day of touristing. The neighbors are friendly and helpful. While the N. Berkeley neighborhood is known for great dining and food shopping options, the commercial areas were a bit of a hike so a car would be helpful.

We had a great time staying in North Berkeley. This house was excellent. Clean, well maintained with everything we needed. It was very convenient being near the BART station. Highly recommended.

Neat, clean home with a great location for walking tours. Easy Walk to the north to Monterrey market, Gioia pizza and other attractions on Hopkins St. Go east to the Gourmet Ghetto on Shattuck Ave, or southeast to UC Berkeley. This home provided a fine location for getting to know Berkeley.

Scott is a responsive host and a pleasure to communicate with. Our (few) clarification questions were answered very quickly and we appreciated restaurant recommendations from Scott's chef brother-in-law who lives next door. Location is close enough to North Berkeley BART to make it extremely easy to get to either SFO or OAK, even with luggage. It's also easy to access UC Berkeley campus by bus. There is a parking spot in Scott's driveway but we didn't rent a car and successfully made our way around using public transit. The apartment is spacious and clean, beds delightfully comfy, and our teen son appreciated having his own en-suite bathroom so he didn't have to share with mom and dad. Plenty of towels/soap/shampoo were provided, and we were really pleased that the kitchen is fully stocked with enough dishes and cooking utensils to supply a family, and even oil/salt/pepper/spices so we could cook many of our own meals just by shopping for the main ingredients. I hope we have the chance to visit Berkeley again, I will definitely check the availability of this property first if so!

Scott's place was so perfect for our family of 3 (2 adults and a 3 year old) for 11 nights. It was clean with comfy beds and a PERFECT kitchen for cooking -- it had everything we needed and more. We honestly felt so at home and relaxed there. The location was quiet and peaceful with a greenway path alongside it which enabled us to walk to multiple parks, grocery stores, cafes, and restaurants so easily. Off street parking was super convenient, as was having BART a 3 minute walk away, which allowed us to easily go to San Francisco for the day. Scott was so nice, accommodating, and easy to reach when we had questions. His family next door were really sweet and helpful. Overall, it was one of the best rental experiences we have ever had, we would love to come back and stay at Scott's place again!

Great place for family to stay right down the street from my house. Clean, well-stocked and great communication all the way through the process. Generally we found it to be a very nice rental and we'd book there again. However, if I'm volunteering one piece of feedback, it's that future renters should know the "1/2 bath" listing is essentially for emergencies only - tiny sink, very small shower, and the toilet looks to be in what was once the bedroom closet.

This property was just what was advertised. Scott was very responsive to questions; the property was very clean and hospitable; and the location was excellent. We were very happy with our stay.

Scott's place is right beside North Berkeley BART, which is our preferred neighborhood whenever we're in Berkeley, which was ideal for us. Offstreet parking also great. The place was clean and plenty of space for me and my 11yo son. You could easily have added a second adult to the queen bed in my room and a second child using the trundle under my son's bed in his room, for a family of 4. We were pleasantly surprised to discover that there is the equivalent of a full second bath in the child's room, as the room itself has a shower, sink, and small closable toilet closet at one end of the room (in the room, not in a separate bathroom, but this was fine for my son and best of all enabled me to have the main bathroom all to myself). Wine and treats were set up for us on the table when we arrived.

We had a very comfortable stay at this property. It's a nice clean apartment with a perfectly stocked kitchen. Kind host. Highly recommended.

Had to come into town for work a bit last minute for me. This was a lovely place to stay. Well thought out interior and amenities. Plenty of space for myself and it was set up with an additional room in case you're travelling with others. Off street parking was a benefit. The dog next door (Bella) loves to say hello to you but also really loves treats! Don't let her barking fool you! Everyone was friendly. Bed was comfy. Would stay again!

We had a wonderful stay. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed for meals. We enjoyed the bowl of snacks and wine. I would definately recommend this place.

The host and his family were always immediately responsive to any questions and very hospitable. The unit is wonderfully clean and the kitchen is especially well equipped. Entry easily accessible and parking available (important because of mobility problem). Safe, pretty neighborhood (used to live nearby) within an easy distance to excellent grocery shopping and good restaurants. Cannot recommend the place enough. Perfect for long or short stays. Will definitely return.

Conveniently located; less than two blocks from daughter and family. Short walk to Monterey Market and Acme Bread. Right off of Ohlone biking/walking trail. Property manager very responsive to inquiries.
