Off the beaten track and very serene, perfect place to let the Varanasi vibe sink in… Very homely and perfect for elders especially. The staff is super nice and very attentive and proactive especially Amit, the manager. The property itself is extremely tastefully done up by the owners, making it feel like home!

This is a family hotel, located on the other side of the Ganga River from the noisiest places in Varanasi. everything is built with love, every detail is thought through. In the mornings, a musician plays a flute in the courtyard and peacocks fly in. the owners of the hotel are a very nice couple who make the rest of their guests as comfortable as possible. as the hotel is next to the Ganga, you can take a boat to see arati right from the hotel, what’s pretty comfortable. next to the hotel there is an ashram, a place full of peace and bliss, where you can go in the morning for meditation. I’ll definitely come back there again, if I travel to Varanasi any time

The place was designed very tastefully to give it an old world charm. it’s location was good as it was on the city outskirts with a stunning view of the Ganga River whilst avoiding the crowds on the major ghats.

The approach roads pass through some shabby areas but I guess that’s the price one has to pay for the seclusion the hotel offers. the signages to guide you to the hotel need to be improved .

I visited the place with my 87 year old Dad, and we had a great time here. The facilities are fantastic, the location is amazing and most importantly, the owner and the staff is extremely courteous and gracious. They would ask for our choices in breakfast and make special home cooked type food. It gives you the feeling of a home away from home. The owner had arranged for a local flute player to come over on sunday morning and play it for us, which was a unique experience as you sit outside and view the Ganga with the music playing. Would highly recommend it.

The location is a bit difficult to find and outside the typical sightseeing places. Its also a little difficult to find and since its new, most people are not aware of the location. Took us a while to find the place.

they are liars

it’s not a five star! it’s falsely advertised as a five star and priced more than one. we had to wait two hours for a thali, water in the taps while bathing is scalding hot, no fridge, no hair dryer in the pool. at best it is a home stay trying very hard to pass off as a five star & charging more than one. I was told by the manager at the property that it would be okay once booking.com contacted me to pay the rest of the amount even though they slashed down the prices considerably as there were a lot of vacancies in the hotel - that they were to be paid as I was under the impression that it is a five star which it most certainly isn’t, when booking.com did not contact me, the manager adamantly stood & argued with me over the specifics even though he had okayed it the day before. these people are not true to their word, they are just out to make money & will lie to your face even if they have to for it as they obviously have about the property being a five star!

A unique boutique type of hotel in a nice garden on the shore of the River Ganges with a view to the train bridge. It's a quiet, small hotel, just one floor with six rooms and a bungalow with more rooms. The rooms are very clean and in good shape. They serve excellent vegetarian only food, we ate Indian cuisine all the time which was nice. The staff is very helpful with the owner giving you advices and telling you stories. It's not the usual five-star-type of hotel and service, it's more private with a more personal attendance. Perhaps a bit less polished in the personal contact but more personal, authentic. We found it difficult to find a convincing hotel in Varanasi and Saptpuri was the perfect address we can highly recomend. Give it a try.

It was a bit difficult to find for our driver, but the reception sent the position and called regularly to check where we were.
