It was a decent place but they are going through renovations

We received a call the day before we were to arrive in Galveston stating that there was no hot water. After trying to secure another motel without success, we decided to make the best of it. As we drove looking for the motel we found there was no sign so we passed it many times. (Excuse was the hurricane. A temporary sign or banner could have hung.) The person at the desk was rude and condescending. She should be taught customer service. Our room was not as clean as it should have been, there were dead roaches in the bathroom, only one electrical outlet, and the tv did not work. After calling the desk many times without success, we found the phone phone system was not working either. Even though they are still doing repairs from the hurricane, customer service and making the facilities the best they could under the circumstances was not a priority. We will not stay at a Motel 6 again.

Terrible stay..first room the TV was broke ..second room air conditioner was leaking and floor was soaked and smelt like mold ..then after our stay we had to call corporate office to get our $100 deposit back because it was never returned on my card

This property is under renovation which I did not know. Very noisy The first room the key didnt work. The second room the tv needed maintenance to come and fix. The top sheet had a stain. The safe was filthy. I opened a cabinet and the door fell off. The property is billed as a beach property which it is not. I should have made a different choice. Feel I should get some sort of refund. Never will be back again.

The floor was dirty. There was a door that connected the room next door, normally i wouldnt caee, but the door jam was broken and the door did not lock. This would allow the person in the next room to be allowed in the room. Very sketchy.

This was the worst experience and dirty every thing was outdated and old and dirty

Staff were great. Clean comfortable room. Parking was an issue but understandable due to construction.

We came down for a quick weekend trip and decided to give this motel a shot since the price was right. The room was disgusting, smelled horrible, the bed was like a concrete slab and the water never got warm to even shower. We ended up leaving way early because we couldn’t take it anymore. I’m not sure why I expected anything better than what we got. It’s safe to say we won’t be back here.

Unfortunately the motel was damaged from the hurricane. The main sign was off and had some electrical issues. There wasn’t any hot water. They were very nice to offer a full refund and we booked somewhere else. Hopefully they can get the motel fixed up again.

Didn't like anything. No hot water, half of outlets didnt work, dirty carpet. Dont understand $50 security deposit. No breakfast, bad parking, dirty pool, should be removed until renovation is complete

Great place

There was no hot water. Rooms smelled worse than I have ever smelled. Staff was friendly dealing with all the complaints. Not worth $175 to lay my head.

The check in staff was very friendly and the rooms are not bad, but unfortunately we woke up the next morning to a dead roach that had been in the sheets.

In their defense, they were still cleaning after hurricane Beryl. This place is still in terrible need of a face-lift thought.

The hotel was undergoing renovations. Our first room had a TV that wouldn't work. They gave us another room which had a TV that worked a little better. The coffee pot had no basket for the coffee to go into and there were no coffee supplies. We were given supplies but never got the basket so it was if no use. There wasn't even coffee at reception. In all the moving between rooms we somehow lost a pillow which we discovered when we got home. The phone number at the front desk only worked intermittently. When I finally reached the desk after calling for 1.5 days, the person answering said that yes, they had our pillow. Family members were still in the area and went to get it but no one, including the manager, could find it. I tried calling again for another day and never got through.

Although affected by Hurricane Beryl, the property is close to the beach and the pool was awesome! Staff super friendly and helpful!

Property is under renovations at time. Even though the room was clean and staff was great. It would have been great if expedia would have mentioned it before I made reservations.

I had a confirmation of my stay the cancelled it. They gave me till1 pm to call them back and confirmed my stay i was calling since 12:24 pm they never answered the just cancelled my stay and gave to some one else. Very unprofessional

Our family rented a total of 4 rooms. Motel sign was busted and no other temporary signage identified the hotel. Two of our room the key access was shut off the second day of our stay. Housekeepers came in one room while our son was sleeping and told him he had to leave, that the stay was over. Rude front desk staff rekeyed card without apology. The second room, front desk staff were not around for 1/2 hour while our son was locked out of his room. Massive repair work was being done to the outside of building. Not sure if it was structurally sound? The man doing the repair work had his wife helping him and 2-3 year old kid sitting on the stairs while they worked. Plaster and plastic wrap was all over columns and on the walking paths to rooms. Rooms smelt musty and carpets were wet. Horrible.

This place is literally the definition of you get what you paid for, within 5 minutes of being there i wanted to leave the place stank like wet carpet, fridge and microwave were rusty and covered in mildew didnt use the tv cracked and barely had a few channels that worked. Not to mention the construction crew literally out my door most of Saturday day and night working on dry wall no decency to keep a path without mess to get into the room. I wouldn't recommend this place to even the Devil himself. Last but not to least the roaches run this place they need to give it the title the life size Roach Motel

The property is under construction but it’s okay

The staff has been extremely friendly and helpful. The owner(s) should have spent the money on renovations long ago.
