When booking at the Shawnee Inn , I was expecting to stay at the main building. When we arrived, we were told that we were staying at the Delaware. Be aware- If you book the two queen beds, you will be staying in a run down building. The beds had no headboards, there was patch jobs on the walls that were not painted over, The front door did not securely lock. Not to mention, you are at the entrance far away from everything. It stated that you had a golf course view, which was not true, you face a parking lot So whenever anyone comes in or out at night, the lights lights shine through the room. The walls were paper, thin. Every time, Someone flushed the toilet or spoke, you could hear it. There was also gnats all through the room, cobwebs, And spiders. This is a place that I would visit for a day due to all of the activities on the property, but I would not recommend anyone to stay here at least until they have completed renovations. We also were notified on our way to the hotel that the pool is being run so we would have to use a pool at another location. Dining was nice! We On the patio overlooking the water, which was very relaxing. The guided tour was a lot of fun!

Everything was great! The one small complaint was the dumpsters behind the Delaware Lodge were overfilled and wasn't sightly. We had a great time!

The river located almost front of the resort. Also boating. So lovely. Also two tennis courts and volleyball. Don't play golf, but it is a golf resort.

I like that. It was very quiet, not much kids. But I purposely booked. Displays for the pool. And the pool was being worked on a natural event on the site. The pool was unavailable at this moment

When we booked a room at The Shawnee Golf Resort, we thought we had found a perfect getaway because we really liked the hotel's surroundings and its proximity to the river. We were ready to visit almost every weekend. However, we were very disappointed when the front desk manager assigned us a room not in the main historical building, but in what seemed like a 'barn' on the hill. The room had cobwebs on the ceiling, and the radiator/air conditioner was scratched and dusty. This was not what I expected when paying $180 a night

It’s a beautiful historic inn with a breathtaking view of the Delaware River, and offers good quality dining and extra activities. But the inn itself was sold out—we stayed in the lodge. Don’t. It is a rundown motel, our room smelled like an ashtray, it was hard to be in it. It did have a view of the golf course, but first the parking lot. Like you are in your pajamas, you walk up to the window, and right in front of you is someone getting into their car. It is a seven minute walk to the inn, but there is no pathway, you have to either follow golf cart tracks through unattractive service areas or you have to walk on the main road. We talked to folks who didn’t like their room in the main inn because it was too small, but I would take small and quaint over rundown ashtray motel. Our room was clean, at least. I loved being able to take a dip in the Delaware and we used the nearby pool where guest privileges because the Shawnee pool is being redone. Also, be warned, the clientele seems to be predominantly hard drinking golf buddies who can get loud into the evening. All that said, it is a beautiful location, lots of amenities and charming, it’s just kind of outrageous that they charge the same for some of the inn rooms as they do for that smoke-infused rundown motel place just off the road.

This place has so much potential They are not maintaining it like they once did Pool now damaged for 2 years without a plan to repair it

The concert series Jam at the Gem was a lot of fun and the spa was amazing

Rooms in disrepair not maintained well beds need to be replaced. For the price that is charged per night. Did not even have usb plugs which is common for rooms in this price range

if you like golf and Oh family oriented vacations this is your place. great food, great Staff, great services. This place has tons of history. so, if your history Buff then you’re in for a real treat. it’s quiet, secluded and there’s lots of different activities for you and your family to do together from Swimming, hiking, Archery, canoeing, Ax throwing, golf, Driving Range, River Boat, etc.

Beautiful, calm place. Hotel needs upgrading but still quite enjoyable.Recommend it.

I just happened here, avoiding stand-stiil traffic on I-80. Staff at Gem & Keystone were really excellent, and directed me to the main lodge after I ate there. Made 2 separate reservations for my next foray into this area. Beautiful, lovely people, scenery and food! I'll be back!!

There is so much to do at Shawnee Inn! The setting on the Delaware River is beautiful. The activities are plentiful. The food at the restaurants is delicious. The staff is outstanding. The rooms are comfortable and clean. Can't wait to go back!

The staff here is wonderful! My room is spacious, clean and very comfortable. I'm coming back next week for 2 more nights before heading home to Montana. I plan on returning this October.

Check in was simple...definitely a dated resort, but would stay and golf here again. Pizza at the brewery was great!

One staff person not helpful. Said that she would contact me to let me know if I could keep my room for extended stay. Also gave mid information letting me think my reservation was lost. She went home without letting me know. I went to the seat at the appointed time & she was gone. Another staff person was able to easily help. The difficult person was AJ.

Rooms were dreary and dilapidated. Painted areas show all the signs of peeling and chipping that the poor housekeeping staff can only wipe over. Holes in the bathroom covered by thin pieces of wood. I do not enjoy giving bad reviews but I have to warn fellow travelers.

Lovely place with outstanding staffs. The lady at the front desk will make you feel welcomed and resolve any problems you have with yoir room right away. The room is outdated, and they can do much better with minor updades to the rooms.

Cute & cozy. Perfect for a relaxing weekend away. My only issue was we could hear everything from the room next to us. The gentleman was snoring so loud I thought it was my husband. And they had a white noise machine that was so loud we thought it was wind from outside. Maybe they should try to get heavier doors bc some of the rooms are conjoining

Lovely place to stay, especially in the warm weather, a lot of activities. Suggestion...update the room especially the bathroom.

Very old , run down , Delaware house side door wasn’t secure , door hand rotted out anyone could’ve walked in .. water leak in hallway leafy to our room ??

Love everything about the grounds. Facility is old and need a facelift. Bathrooms definitely need renovations, beds are old need new, modern, comfortably ones. Rooms need a face lift.

No Up Keeping or Maintenance Services! No up keeping in room: the blinds in the bathroom needed to be replaced, they were broken and didn’t stay up or down on its own without it coming apart. The fitness room was Horrible!!!! Out of the 3 cardio machines only one worked and it was rusty. The weight plates on the main workout machine were broken in 2 pieces across the board for several exercises, it’s actually very unsafe, you could only do a very light set or very heavy set of exercises. The free weights were ancient, with the plastic ripped off, it was the worse amenity in the location. The pool and jacuzzi was not working but we were able to go to a neighbor location - the Wyndham to use it. On our second day we attempted that and it was out of order and the pool seemed to be full with kids, we didn’t even attempt to do it. Stayed 3 nights, 1 King bed room was a bit claustrophobic after a while, needed to stay in the room mostly because kids running around everywhere and at night, couldn’t get away from kids. Me and my girlfriend went for President’s week and didn’t realize kids would be everywhere, even in the bar for the first night we went there just upon arriving. So if you want a peaceful getaway without kids check first before you book. Room service for cleaning was good, bartender at River Room restaurant was very sociable, the Brewery was the best part! Breakfast overpriced! One microwave was available in the first floor for the whole hotel.
