Excellent stay at Casa Munras. Quaint with a lot of history but rooms are all updated. Had a King Suite w/ Fireplace and used the fireplace a lot! Outdoor pool is warm. Restaurant serves a very good breakfast. Parking is not free though.

Great location walking distance to wharf, downtown, restaurants/cafes and parks

We loved the king fireplace room. It was big cozy and had great decor. The amenities were nice and we had a long bike ride with the complimentary bikes. The only issue was the gym needed attention to sanitation, such as an abundance of wipes and hand sanitizer. The staff did put new wipes in the gym after we asked. Overall, a very nice property and room for the price.

The location is excellence if you want to walk to restaurants and entertainment. The Hotel staff was very responsive and polite. The restaurant on site was delicious with great service. Shrimp appetizers and oysters are solid. 200 years and still a going. This hotel is a gem.

We booked a two night stay for my husband's birthday. Upon arrival we went by to see when we could check in. Since check in was at 4 pm and we got there around 10 am we did not expect anything. The nice woman at the front desk said that she would check on the situation and offered us a choice of an upstairs or downstairs room available immediately. Our room was quaint and clean. The bed was comfortable and the hotel was very quiet although it seemed fairly full. All in all it was a great stay and I would stay there again.

Great location for a Monterey visit

This hotel was a gem !! Comfortable considering it's a historic property. Room is a bit small but totally acceptable. Staff was super nice and hotel restaurant was very good. Easy access from 101. We walked across the street to have wonderful breakfast.

One night stay with a group of friends. Excellent location; very clean and comfortable rooms. Very nice restaurant on site where we enjoyed happy hour and Tapas. Would have appreciated free parking, but that is the only complaint.

Great location, well maintained property, great restaurant and staff.

Lovely hotel, room was nice and large. Walking distance to plenty of bars and restaurants. I wasn't aware that there was an additional fee for parking though.

For the price we paid, this hotel was not worth it .. lots of other Monterey and Carmel hotels in the same price range for a better experience. room and landscaping was clean and well maintained but pillows were not comfy, not even a dish for the bar of soap in the bathrooms, no water except for the gym, the pool area was small and looked like a motel pool and there’s no insulation whatsoever between the ground and first floor rooms.. could hear upstairs walking all night and after they left can hear housekeeping .. forget a restful sleep and sleeping in. The location itself seems perfect within minutes of walking to historical parts of Monterey, has lots or restaurants around and old Monterey downtown area, within 15-20min walk to old fisherman’s wharf. Esteban food was good and so many other better Monterey/carmel food options — the servers were excellent though and very attentive.

Location is perfect to explore the area. On site restaurant is very good, and breakfast at the Wild Plum next door was a great experience Spa on property was wonderful too, if a bit pricey. Loved the pool area too

Loved Casa Munras - although my room was small it was quiet & comfortable. Front desk folks were friendly & helpful, even carrying my bag to my room on 2nd floor. Pool was lovely & clean. One negative - daily parking fee which was not included on Hotels.com description of property. Proximity to downtown & restaurants & Trader Joe’s was great. Will definitely stay here again!

It was just a nice experience

Very comfortable room and the mattress. Quiet neighborhood great for good sleep. Nice grassy area for walking the dog. Love the place and highly recommend for anyone travelling with dogs and liking excellent service.

Lovely hotel with on site parking at a reasonable rate. Beds were very comfortable. Easy walking distance to Monterey attractions. All the staff we spoke to during our stay were lovely.

The heated pool is very nice and heated perfectly. Great seating on a spacious deck.

The property is so charming. The rooms are spacious, walking distance to popular spots, easy parking, and the hotel has bikes you can check out and use for the day at no extra cost.

We are very happy to have chosen to stay at Casa Munras over the large resorts which are closer to the main attractions. The Labor Day Weekend was crowded and coming back to a quiet clean and well landscaped hotel was very enjoyable. The restaurants we liked were walking distance and so was the whale watching spot. Esteban’s has a great chef who chooses quality products and has serious skills. The room service was fast and polite. The pool was clean and beer of all very much vacant. Wish they had a hot tub outside, and hope they consider building one. 😃. We will definitely stay again next time we come to Monterey. The neighborhood was great. Super chill with Paris bakery down the street and if you have late night craving the 24 hour Denny's is even better than most other Denny’s we’ve had. Got a bbq chicken sandwich out first night. All the veggies were very crisp and the chicken was moist. Not a super fancy place but we loved the architecture and atmosphere. Only issues were minor, no dish soap, utensils, plates, or microwave. For a suite we thought that would be standard. We went to try the local food so it wasn’t that bad. The suite’s actual size was good for a family of 4. A/C took a while for it to travel to the opposite half of the room which was funny because the living room was frigid. Nothing an extra blanket can’t solve. We are happy to have been able to visit Big Sur and Santa Cruz on a 3 day 4 night trip. Electrify America was only 10 min.

Our second stay at Casa Munras. Solid stay and clean room, but nothing extra special. Parking charge seems unnecessary.

Great location. Slept with the balcony doors open. Beautiful amenities. Comfortable bed.

The hotel property and rooms are fair, not the worst but not the best. Overpriced for what you are getting.

My only criticism was the TV in the room. Not everyone wants to stream from their devices. Some just want to turn it on and easily navigate to a program. Not the case with your system.

Everything was great and the bed was comfortable. Clean, and so much cuter than a chain hotel.
