The rooms have a weird smell, they dont look clean. The fridge wasnt working.

I was so excited to find a Hyatt Place in the area that was close to an appointment I had the following day. I love Hyatt Place. I stay all the time at these. This was the worst kept Hyatt Place I’ve ever stayed. I was embarrassed. I was bragging to my fiancé about what a great hotel they are. I was trying to book a “normal” room but on the site accessible was my only option. When I checked in I asked the host if we could be in a normal room not a handicapped room and she said yes, that she gave us a normal room. Once we got up there, it wasn’t. It was for handicapped. The room was so gross. There was dirty sticky substance on the headboard. I tried to get a photo that didn’t do justice. The couch was gross. The wall had a poorly patched electrical outlet. It was just so uncomfortable. Gross feeling. The AC would not stay on to reach our desired temp. Really disappointed they have allowed this hotel to fall so short of what I know they usually are.

This property was clean and the staff friendly and accommodating. The hotel is a little dated but still very comfortable.

Very small bathroom. No microwave. Room next to elevator consistently noisy from elevator operation. Staff and personnel were outstanding.

This hotel was underwhelming for the price we paid. They only offer room service every 3 days, and when I asked why, they said "limited staffing". Their breakfast was pretty good, had a lot of healthier options which is nice. The room itself was spacious and clean. However, the bathroom and shower area needs a bit of an upgrade. The wallpaper was coming off a little bit. Overall, I would not be staying here again.

Room was very musty and stale. Tv was limited, carpet was very dirty. Breakfast was reheated eggs, chirizo and potatos. No pastries, no waffles, no sausages or bacon. Coffee was very bad. Definitely not a "breakfast" Pool was pretty aged, smelly, no towels.

Everything was fine besides the breakfast options. Very limited, first couple days had sausages and stuff but thereafter was food like curry and rice for breakfast. Ended up only having the breakfast 3/7 days

I didn’t like that they didn’t have laundry facilities.

It’s like they did not sweep the bathroom or vacuum the floors. There was hair everywhere, sticking to our socks and feet when we were in the bathroom. They claim to have laundry facilities which is why we stayed there, they did NOT! They were booked and I had paid upfront so cancelling was not an option. The breakfast was subpar and they never had a place to sit.

Stayed here over the weekend. This is a nice hotel for a reasonable price. The rooms were very clean and cozy. The complimentary breakfast was one of the better ones i've experienced at hotels. The served eggs, sausage, oatmeal, fresh fruit, bagels and english muffins, cereal, coffee, juice, tea, etc. The pool area was nice and well maintained- my only critique is that its a small pool- and it was difficult to enjoy it for long because it was overrun by kids. *Adding a section or additional small pool for just adults would be a really nice feature. But overall this is a solid option if you are staying in the chicago option- I would stay again.

Stayed here with family on our way through Chicago. Everything was clean, comfortable and breakfast was yummy!! We did have to ask for the sheets/blankets for the sofa bed instead of them being right there in the room which is unusual but not a major deal. Also there is no microwave in the room so you have to go down to the lobby with your food and use the one there any time you want to heat something up, which is not very convenient. But overall things were clean and comfortable which we greatly appreciated!

Upon arrival on July 17 2024 after driving for 10 hours we were told that for 5 days from the hours of 10pm to 5 am there will not be any hot water as there was some maintenance work going on. Our days were going to be long and we needed to take showers after 10. The first night we were put in room 206.The wifi was not working in our room. At 1am we were startled awake when we heard drilling and pounding sounds. We went downstairs to reception to see what going on and saw that workers were drilling from the first floor up to the second in our room area. The receptionist told us that she could not do anything about the issue. We had no sleep that night. Spoke to the Manager the next day and she moved us to another room and refunded us the first night. A couple of the receptionist's need to be trained more. I asked one of them what was the tax percentage charged, she did not know. The Manager was always friendly and helpful. We continued staying at the hotel as we couldn’t change last minute. On my visa i was charged 2 times, one anmount was incorrect annd the other was correct. I didn’t have to call them as they realized that mistake and reversed the incorrect amount. Too many issues in one visit.

I loved that the room was huge and super affordable for a family of 6! The pool was enjoyable I wish the water would have been warmer but it worked out. The staff was super kind and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the bar at the front desk, the hurricane was delicious! The mini fridge didn't work so well but good for pop. We will definitely consider staying here again!
