The first room the gave us had beds that had already been used. Beds had not been changed! Second room had plastic soda bottles under the TV stand. Floor also had fine sand all over it. Breakfast was very limited. Juice machine was out of order, milk was not available. Forks were not available. Pastries were limited - not available. Realize that this was not just a one day occurrence but both days of our stay and not at the end of the dining hours. Needless to say we will not be back!

Pro: Clean bed Cons: bathroom floor dirty, asked for extra pillows for the pullout, was told the hotels doesn’t have extra pillows, there weren’t any dishes or utensils in the kitchen, mold on the air conditioner

Parking lot had some maintenance issues

Property was nice. From an experienced housekeeper of 20 years the hall floors could use a little more attention. Staff where pleased and rooms was nice.

Disapointed. No clock in room. No tissues in room. Counter was dirty. Fridge was warm..had to pull it out to make adjustment. Breakfast was ok at best. Juice machine did not work. Pets allowed in the pool/spa area.

I was an out of towner. I like that they accepted my dogs. Keith was amazing and my dogs were not trouble some. Likes: Their chef is amazing with their breakfast! The hotel has coffee 24/7. The hotel is always clean. My room was clean when I arrived. Hotel is modern. Cookies were made, but stopped by the 3rd day? The lost Island is 5 minutes away. Perkins restaurant is right next door. Habitat restore is right next door as well LOL( opens on Tuesday) Cedar Falls is 15 minutes away. Dislike: I requested room service almost everyday of my stay, even stated I’m getting ready to walk my dogs, while housekeeping were on the same floor. I even waited while in my hotel room(was not going to wait all day-I didn’t go there for that) so they can come into the room to clean. I feel I was intentionally ignored. Every other dayI had to request something-(new linens). The day before my departure, I requested a new comforter and made up the beds myself. Regardless, the room was left immaculate, regardless of the dogs and my daughter, as I clean up after myself and them.

Hot tub been broken for many months, key cards dont work outside so have to walk in main door alot. Parking lots only accessed from one area. 2nd level is a joke when there is 24 steps to stairs and no warning about this when booking. Tv had a total of like 15 channels, breakfest was very limited at best and very short for services. One thing want to do on vacation is relax in hottub and cant even do that.

Check in took forever

There was a flashing light in the room from the fire detector that went on all night. It was like trying to sleep next to someone on their phone every few minutes. There was only two towels in the bathroom. I'm not saying I needed a bunch, but why so stingy? It was clean, but overall I wasn't overly impressed for the price.

I had the best sleep in this hotel the bed and pillows were really soft

I love the remodeling done here since my last stay over 10 years ago. Was disappointed that the hot-tub jets didn't work. Also bummed that the fitness room was not "working." Would love bananas and cream cheese with breakfast.

We were particularly looking forward to a relaxing hot tub after we arrived at the hotel. If fact, we called to ask if there was a hot tub because it didn't seem to list it on the website. Yes, we were told! Got there; Yes, there was a hot tub but the bubbler-motor of the tub wasn't working. Disappointing that it wasn't working & disappointing that we weren't told when we called.

The cookies and coffee in the lobby helped when our room wasn’t ready be the 3pm check in time. The staff all seemed to be in cooperation with each other. For me that’s a great indicator of how well run a property is.

Was not clean, not customer service oriented. Looks like most of employees were wearing jeans, t shirts. No issues uniforms.

Clean, they upgraded us to a king suite without asking and we needed 2 beds, not other rooms available. The price of the suite was less than I had paid Expedia. Suite was cold and empty feeling. Furniture sparse. Good breakfast.

They are understaffed as most rural hotels. Hard to find reliable help. Staff was still cleaning many rooms when we arrived at 5pm. Our room was maybe visually cleaned and trash emptied. Bed sheets were not changed, floors had hair, dirt and garbage all over. Towels were warm when we got them. Work out room was closed and hot tub jets broken. Breakfast was great. Newly remodeled!

We tried to check in at about 6:30pm and our room was not ready. They said to give them 10 minutes to clean it and we should be good, which in and of itself scared me. When we finally went to our room 20 minutes later, it smelled VERY bad, was barely wiped down and the one bed that had obviously been used the night before, had just had the sheets turned inside out. We changed our clothes and left immediately. We demanded not to be charged and ended up just driving back home. Very disappointing family vacation after an exhausting day.

Upon arrival, staff said my credit card wasn't the right one, but apparently it ended up being correct. They gave us a room that was marked as clean and available and it was filthy and not ready for guest and breakfast was not available because the staff did not show up. The lady on the night staff did whatever her way to try and help us the best that she could

We were in a large room and it was truly uncomfortable. The furnishings were too small for the space. The red armchairs had stains all over them. The bed was miserable to sleep on. When you walked out the front door you were immediately hit with cigarette smoke from other guests and the staff.

Room was clean and comfortable. The beds were nice as was the bedding and pillows. Breakfast was typical hotel menu but nice.

Nice, clean hotel. Large room. Disappointed that there was no breakfast available at 6:20 am. Sign advertised complimentary breakfast from 6 am - 10 am, doors were closed no lights on.

We did not receive the free hot breakfast because regular employee did not show up and they had no idea how to do breakfast setup.

the heating, air conditioning unit put off a bad smell all night. Staff did not know how to charge for our pet. Took a long time and not sure how its going to look on our bill. we will let you know.

The shower had a used bar of soap still in it, curly pubic hair, and fallout from someone’s head. It was all over the tub and tub wall. We have a video showing it. The room also looks like it hasn’t been dusted in a while. The service desk offered to switch our room. How is that an appropriate way of handling it? Shouldn’t you at minimum offer a discount AND switching off the room? This entire place is not nice like it looks online. Very disappointed and praying we don’t leave with bed bugs.
