We ended up staying at Cobblestone down the road because we sat in the lobby for 45 minutes and never saw anybody so we just left and went down and bought a room somewhere else. And this was at the Laporte Road location in Waterloo Iowa

Lady at front desk was not very friendly and her appearance was dirty. A dog was barking all night. People arguing. Got woke up at 630 with a couple fighting. Hotel smelled dirty. Parking was bad. Tub wouldn't drain while showering. Some of lights wouldnt work. Just really aggravated with the entire stay. Would not recommend.

Room wasn't ready when arrived.

The way the night shift clerk handle us. When booking.com lost our reservation. He even given us cheaper than booking.com rates. I would rate him 10. He was very helpful.

Very spacious room. The bathroom was clean, the sheets were clean, and the appliances all worked. TV is great. AC kept the room ice cold just how we like it. Staff was pleasant. Bed was more comfortable than I expected. Water pressure was above average.

For sure a smoking room, but since it’s not carpeted it wasn’t too bad. It’s an old building with quirky fixtures and strange electrical set ups (two sinks, right next to each other outside the bathroom, can’t shut off the ceiling light by the door without also turning off the power to the wall behind the bed). Holes in the wall, stripped laminate, cigarette burns in curtains and bedspread. Outside doors and hallway a tad noise. We had a corner room on the street level right by an entry so, could have been better or worse I’m sure. Shortage of bath towels seems to still be a concern.

Room had door propped open when we arrived. Smells like smoke inside the room. Towels on top of the microwave were used. Bathroom and Furniture had wood peeling off of them. Bed frame was broke and bed itself slices in them from a knife. Got up the next morning and found caterpillar in the bed. Rappers played loud music all night long outside of our window. No privacy curtains when we were on the ground floor. Slept next to my gun all night. Blood curdling scream from a child late at night twice.
