The main staff lobby were great. The gentleman with the glasses was very attentive and never forgets to greet people with a smile on his face. The only issue that we had on our trip was that we left the door notification and told the lady at the lobby that our room required attention and we came back at night and the only thing done was the trash.

The room ranked of cigarette smoke and had clearly been used as a homeless hotel, and they didn’t completely got it so they tried to spray over the smell. Blood stains on the sheets, hair in the shower, very unclean and drug addicts were outside, nonstop, smoking, drinking, and we actually saw them shooting up and told the front desk and they pretended they were surprised, but clearly a portion of the hotel has been blocked off for them, and the government is likely paying for it. Unbelievable.

The room was very nice and clean with a fridge and microwave, and transit was easily accessible close by and quickly got you to the heart of downtown. The hot tub could’ve used a cleaning but was overall very pleasant and enjoyable including the pool. My stay was short but excellent overall!

The only distraction from staying at Sandman Victoria was the plethora of homeless/random people on drugs outside of the property. Totally nothing the hotel can do about that. But was certainly noticeable as a visitor to the city.

Initially we checked in around 2 pm for two rooms which were prebooked. Was told rooms were not ready which was okay. Did checkin with credit cards etc. Returned at 630pm. Only one room ready. Took an additional 20 or more minutes before second room was ready. Totally not acceptable.

Most of the property was very clean, comfortable and well kept. Only concern for us was the amount of scum on the hot tub water, it was disgusting so we didn’t get to enjoy a relaxing soak at the end of our long days walking and touring Victoria and area. Unfortunately, some guests were not very considerate of others as they left wet towels and used shower bottles, etc on the floors around the pools and in the bathroom. It’s nasty to have to clean up from others who have used the facilities before you!

My room is 323. The masstresss are very soft and old, the pillows are too high, the air conditioner makes noise. We haven’t got a good sleep

This is a really good hotel in a pretty average location. The room was excellent with a kitchenette and lounge area. The hotel was clean and the pool was great. We didn’t have breakfast included and the on-site option was Denny’s which is a little average. The location is on a main road out of town but was handy for us.

I would never return to this hotel. It’s very old, more like a motel with no amenities. Even the pool was closed. There was no breakfast, and the restaurant looked so bad that even a McDonald's between cities looks better. This is a poor hotel choice unless you've never stayed at a good one and have nothing to compare it to.
