Very good experience – we were hung up by an accident so came in very late, and the receptionist allowed us to stay an extra hour. The pool was comfortable temperature, breakfast was good, room, very clean and comfortable.

This used to be our go to for hotels for apts or hockey tournaments. It has been a while since I booked and honestly was surprised about the condition of the hallways, room, rugs. Hot tub wasn’t working and neither was elevator. Our room has massive stains on the rug. Sad, hopefully some upgrades will be done soon. Especially for the price you pay.

The property was conveniently located to great restaurants shopping and the university but the carpets need to replaced as they were filthy with stains throughout the building.The microwave in the room was cheap and either burnt or undercooked items. We had to change rooms (which they were totally accommodating with st no extra charge) as we were on the first and the thumping and banging above us was intolerable. We were moved to a family room on the top floor and found peace so we could sleep. The structure of the building is cheap with no sound proofing throughout. Will not book there again.

Our initial room smelled horribly! The carpet is well overdue to be replaced. There was also no functioning window. We were moved to a larger room that was in much better shape, so that was appreciated. However for $280 a night with tax the first double Queen room was pretty awful. Breakfast was decent for this type of hotel. The pool area looked extremely uninviting - and we didn’t go for a swim.

Did not like that both nights stay the shampoo contatiners in the shower were empty; the elevator shakes and feels like it is about to breaj down; the tv did not work in my room; the air did not work in my room; there was no maintenance staff on duty; had to move rooms at 10 pm No plans to rebook

Stayed 1 night with 2 small kids. Pool is very deep even in shallow end. Hotel is very nice and room was clean but hallways and elevators are dated and smell funky. Would stay again.

Friendly staff and room was quiet. The rugs in the hallway are tired, and our ceiling in the living area had some kind of reddish brown stains (hopefully wine). Nothing a quick freshen up coat of paint wouldn’t cure. Continental breakfast was well supplied and maintained, eating area was clean.

Restaurants within easy walk. Breakfast was disappointing.Only hard boiled eggs and pancakes. No other choice for eggs and no bacon or sausage.

For being in the middle of Thunder Bay it didnt feel like it. The location made it easy to get around to were i needed to.

Over priced for condition of hotel

Really nice hotel with great front desk service. Really clean, comfy room. Restaurant within walking distance. Clean pool area. Vending available in hotel. Great TV channels. Really good toiletries.

The place is old and has a musty smell in general. Breakfast is bad. No meat or eggs. Just some plastic covered bread/bagel, pancake maker and yogurt

The room we stayed in smelled smokey and dusty. The breakfast bar was less enticing. The coffee machine “hot water” looked dirty.

The sofa’s were stained and they were hard to pull out into bed and put back. The mattress was super thin but enough for a good nights rest. Pillows on the bed were firm but thankfully the pillows in the drawers were softer and more comfortable. There were no towels in the swimming area when we went at 6:30pm. We had to ask for some from the front desk and bring a couple extra for others. The towels themselves were small. It was nice that the coffee machine was unlimited and 24/7. The breakfast only had one cooked item a pancake machine otherwise you had to eat up hard boiled eggs or use the coffee machine for hot water for oatmeal. In the breakfast lounge you couldn’t sit near the walls because the AC was blowing down on you and the tables would normally seat 2 had four chairs. No controls or thermostats for AC in our room under the window. Otherwise very clean

Nice staff and foyer. Carpet in hallways and in room were stained which was a bad look. Other than that, very satisfied with my stay. Room was clean overall, and bed was very comfy.

The room smelled extremely stale. Carpets in the room and hallways were so worn that everything felt very dirty but the room was very clean. The staff was friendly, responsive and helpful. Breakfast opened at 5am and pool stayed open until 11pm. The hours of these services were why I booked the room and these met my expectations.

We enjoyed our stay and how close it was to all the things we wanted to do. Breakfast was a little disappointing, was hoping for some meats and eggs at least, there were pancakes, cereal, bagels/toast, fruits and yogurt...but couldve used some proteins for sure. The hot tub was more like a warm tub, it wasn't hot at all and there was a lack of towels. Overall, the purpose of our stay is to have somewhere comfy to rest our tired bodies after a lot of hiking. It was a nice hotel and we could consider staying again if breakfast upgrades in the future.
