Dirty towel marks on it so had to share my husbands as there was no one about to complain to, I would expect to be able to have a coffee when I arrive and one in morning but unfortunately 1 drink each and to pay £75 I would expect that

Terrible place! Room stunk of cigarette smoke. It was so bad, we left.

All the staff we met were extremely nice and friendly, on reception , breakfast and housekeeping. The reception team swapped our room for one they thought we might like more which was lovely of them. The breakfast was great and if you like cooked breakfast (eggs, beans, hash browns, sausages etc all looked freshly made and nice) but not so many options for the continental breakfast items. But a lovely friendly hotel.

We have stayed here before, we travelled by train and the hotel is not far from the station. The hotel serves food and breakfast and a good range of drinks too. The room had everything we needed, you can choose to have daily refresh service, or put a sign on the door to say you don't need anything.
We would stay again, as all was good for us.

Room was dirty with ripped bedding. Air con did not work and room was very hot we had to leave the window open. Woken up at 2.30 am with people screaming outside until 4am. Dan in bathroom did not work so it was like a sweat box

Average at best. The room was ok but very hot. The corridors were air conditioned the rooms like an oven. the food service poor and not great quality in evening the breakfast was ok. Parking was chargeable. The location didn’t feel that safe or secure. Would t stay again.

Stayed here for 1 night on a Saturday. Right on the main street for nightclubs so it was noisy u til the small hours of the morning, followed by the clean up operation and lots of moving vehicles. The room carpet was disgusting, and there was a trail of blood running through the corridor for about 30 metres. Not a pleasant stay at all.
Bed was comfy though, and the shower room did it's job!

Carpets looks dirty, room was bit bad smell when we entered .management need to change the carpet of this hotel. Staff working in this hotel were excellent, very help full. Breakfast was great.This hotel is Very convenient for transport in the heart of Carlisle city.

Property is becoming run down compared to a few years ago. Carpets stained, on the lift foyer a chocolate ball has been lying on the floor since our first visit August 2nd.
Air conditioning is not working or the fan in the bathroom. Almost like a sauna. Rooms very hot.

I had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. Staff were very friendly and attentive to customer needs. Room clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was good quality and a fairly decent variety of options.
Would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Carlisle.

I’ll be honest I wasn’t expecting much for a 2 star hotel but there was no issues really, the hotel is in a great location right in the city centre, staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was perfect and the rooms were ok too, the only slight issue was a slight smell in the room when you first walked in this included the corridors too but I suppose due to the hotel being pet friendly this is to be expected but great stay.

It was conveniently located to both the City Centre and the train station.

Accommodation for fine for one night. It backs on to nightclubs and was noisy in the early hours. We were worried about the safety of our car in car park as was beside nightclubs area.

Accommodation absolutely fine. The burger for dinner was so overcooked that not a single molecule of water remained, dreadful.

Pros: Room was very clean if dated, check-in staff were nice, easy to get to from the train station
Cons: on the strip with nightclubs/bars so extremely noisy with people/car doors/music until 4am on a Saturday night. The rooms don't have a/c so if it's warm, you can't shut the windows against the noise. We also had some fellow guests who were making loads of noise in the corridor until 4:30am (banging on the door to be let in to their room, loud conversations) - my sister somehow slept through it so I was unable to call reception but we were told in the morning that nothing was noticed on corridor checks - unsure how loud drunk men coming in and out of the lobby for hours were missed but there we go!
I think this hotel would be fine during the week but I would not recommend for a weekend stay.

Comfortable enough for one night. Dinner was tasty, staff friendly. Disappointed that the room had a stench of urine in the carpet (possibly from a dog), the attempt to air the room by opening the window was futile. Had to sleep with fan on to dispel the smell to be able to sleep.
