Stylish retro type hotel. Staff were friendly. Bed was very comfy. I’d defo stay again :)

Large wedding party. Room really too warm which made for super uncomfortable despite weather only being 21'c Bathroom was in terrible condition with most of the floor grouting missing and sharp areas catching our feet. Drains slow to clear on shower and sink. Hairdryer kept overheating and cutting out. The wedding partyhad been advised the bar open 24 hrs as per website but after the wedding when we got back to hotel it was closed as staffing had not been planned in. Breakfast was lukewarm and we were forever awaiting something that had run out.

Requested for a taxi reception person said 5 mins waited for 20 mins taxi did arrive and left but reception said he rang the wrong room when I asked him this messed my day I then got another taxi again and got home

Paid for a penta plus room. Tv wasn’t working nor was the air conditioning , rang reception and they said they couldn’t do anything asked if i could then switch rooms and they said no. Then in the morning we woke up late but it was around 12:05 a cleaner came into the room without knocking while my partner was in the shower and then rang us asking when we was checking out.

Good as ever. Nice people, nice hotel, very good value for money. Only gripe - which I’ve never experienced here before - was that the WiFi was terrible. Overall very much recommended, though.

It was OK, definitely a 3-star hotel In my opinion it really doesn’t need a lot more investment to bring it up from 3 stars to 4 stars, I think they can achieve it if they want to Services are good though. Nice bar, gym and sauna are alright

Amazing staff, friendly, welcoming and helpful. Big call out to Ashlet and my hungarian friend on the desk (whose name I regrabbly didn't retain) but who just incredible on the front desk and set the positive tone for the stay. The hotel has a great vibe and the chef did an amazing job with the breakfasts which were amongst the best I've experienced and I'm an old dude who has travelled lots. The seating areas by the bar were clean and tidy, maybe more thought could be given to draught beer selection as it is limited to 2 lagers. Bedroms were clean and comfy, bathrooms however are tired with little beading on the floor tiles which gives it a scruffy run down appearance. However, that;'s being a bit picky, the shower was hot and powerful. Our party of 30 all thought it was brilliant. Thanks to all at the Hotel!

Hello. We had a two night stay in this Hotel. My room was 121 - my sons was 104. On the first floor. I was given a disabled room, but actually didn't mind as it was quite large. The room was tidy and clean. During our stay, the rooms were not cleaned or made-up etc. I would have liked the coffee and milk updated etc. We had not displayed any "do not clean/enter" signs on the doors. The TV was a little temperamental - some instruction guides would have helped. Wi-Fi information should be in the room - I had to ask at the counter. The air-con was pre set - I was unable to lower the temperature. The bar area is very nice and comfortable. We enjoyed playing pool there too. We had an evening meal which was very good quality. I did find though, that every time I ordered anything, even a coffee - I was ask if I wanted to add a "gratuity" when paying. Which I thought was a bit over the top. We used the sauna, which was good. As per other reviews, I had to have my key card reset numerous times! Something I think should be looked at. Overall a nice stay - but a few minor issues could have made it much better. Staff friendly.

I have stayed here for ~6 times during business travel. Breakfast is good, with different options. Hotel needs a general overall deep cleaning (hall carpets are dirty, room carpets stained, walls with scuff marks). For the cost, which I think is high for Derby, they need to direct some funds back to hotel appearance. Staff helpful, but their computer system is very slow and tedious.

Great comfortable beds, lovely duvet and pillows. Bathroom was immaculate and plenty of towels to use. Food was lovely to eat but could’ve been warmer. Selection of pastries, cereals, yoghurts, cheese and cold means were a lovely addition. I was very surprised and would’ve paid more to stay here

We had an issue with our room when we arrived however they were very good at getting us moved to another room as quickly as they could. They also gave us a free drink and complementary breakfast to apologise which we were impressed by.

Brilliant all round, from the service to the warm vibe. A friendly atmosphere where staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Would stay here again, without hesitation.
