Great place to stay, a short walk from Berkeley castle. Nice big room, comfortable bed with large bathroom. No reception but had no problem contacting staff who were obliging and friendly.

Wendy was very helpful and 'very helpful,cooking was lovely,asked for mushy peas not on the menu ,but said we will see what we can do,yes got mushy peas with my steak pie very nice

We stayed at the Malt House because it was a convenient location neary relatives.I feel it was overpriced for what was on offer here.Breakfast was ok,there could be more options.The room was dated,especially the bathroom.It was dfficult for my elderly father to get in the shower over the bath,infact he didn't have the confidence to use it as he felt he might fall.

A good winter's break at the Malt House.
Our room was a little small, (it would have been good to have had a bedside cupboard on both sides of the bed). This was more than made up for by the very comfortable bed, good quality bed linen and towels, plenty of hot water and general cleanliness. A full English breakfast
(included in the cost) was on offer each morning with good variety of tasty evening meals. Staff were friendly and most accommodating. Thank you.

Amazing pub! Great bar & restaurant with beamed ceilings. The food is excellent as is the beer. Rooms are large and airy with a very comfortable bed. Thoroughly recommended!

The Malt House is lovely and staff so friendly. The room was spotless and bed comfy. They did have a skittles match going on but this was explained on arrival. Food was lovely for our evening meal and breakfast offered a good selection and was very tasty.

Considering Covid and also a power cut when I arrived the staff managed superbly, the place was very clean and felt well covid proofed! Breakfast was very nice, I will be staying again

Had a one night stay at the Malt House as I had been attending a wedding nearby.
The hotel was quiet, room was clean and spacious, and the staff were very friendly.
Breakfast was freshly cooked and well presented. There was a selection of fruit, cereals and juice. The full English and toast was prepared while I waited.

Friendly people , good pub food , Clean . Rooms are a little dated or need a freshen up..Rooms are upstairs and there is an access door for residence, unfortunately I was next to this and people are not considerate late at night or leaving early with door banging.

Only stayed the one night but the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Attended to immediately on arrival.Requests responded to asap. Staff were friendly and had smile on face. Room was double bed , single occupancy which was more than adequete and had coffee, tea , making facilities. Would have liked breakfast serving to have been available till at least 9.30am and selection was quite poor. Coffee was available though and I was loaned some local news papers to read until I had to leave to meet others at Hamfallow Court where the funeral I was attending was leaving from.
Would have no problem in recommending this Hotel especially if wanting a base to explore from.

We stayed for two nights in May 2015. Our rooms were large and comfortable with bathroom with bath and shower. Staff were very welcoming. Breakfast was good. Will definitely return.

Stayed one night en route to family reunion. Good evening meal, service and atmosphere. Breakfast superb. Village very quiet and friendly. Would definitely stay again.
