The people working on reception, concierge and restaurant are wonderful, very helpful and pleasant. The dinner and breakfast were very enjoyable. Sadly, the hotel was at capacity and we had Room 1 which was underwhelming. It was necessary to keep our curtain closed as the glass door of our room (the only ‘window’) looked out to the internal public courtyard, and the hotel public area. Somewhat subterranean and dark. This was made worse with people congregating throughout the late evening outside the room in this courtyard to chat or unfortunately argue! Not a great start to our holiday in Scotland.

Loved staying here, staff were excellent and the hotel is beautiful! Our room was amazing and very clean and we loved the spa experience as well! Felt like such a treat staying here and we will definitely be back! 10/10

Have stayed before and loved it. This time very disappointed. Our carpet had the biggest dirty mark on it beside the bed which looked like sick or kebab stains. The ironing board was covered in goodness knows what and the fridge was warm. The biggest disappointment was the spa was far too hot we only stayed for 20mins. The pool was hotter than the hot tub and the room temperature was unbareble. Had a cold shower then had to leave.

I loved everything about my stay at this hotel, except for the mattress. It felt as though two mattresses were pushed together, and there was a red down the middle of making it very uncomfortable for sleeping.

What a great hotel! Right from the start when we were welcomed before entering the door, everything was done for us with a smile, willingness and thought. The staff are exceptional and the rooms well kept and comfortable. The spa facilities are an extra bonus - an oasis of calm with many different relaxing 'rooms' (including snow!). Breakfast is super and without exception the service we received was exemplary. Also a nice touch: a glass of wine between 4pm and 5pm. Definitely recommend, it is in a good area and convenient for most local attractions, quiet and clean.

Amazing

A stunning hotel in an iconic historical building in a great part of this lovely city. Service from all of the staff was exemplary. Sometimes you really do get what you pay for. We are very much looking forward to returning.

Great stay, Parking is a little chaotic - there is a concierge service which was fabulous just wish I knew about it before the stress of on street parking Spa is stunning so bring your costume!

Love the location & feel of the property. Stayed there for my 50th B'day 6 years ago & returned this year again. Great breakfast, try the bacon & cheddar hash. Really good cappuccino & good service in the restaurant.

Pleasant hotel

We had an amazing time. The spa was lovely, the massages were so relaxing, room service was tasty, bed and aminaties were comfortable. Just the best way to spend an anniversary

Spent a lovely 2 nights at the Kimpton. Staff were very attentive, hotel decor and ambiance was very luxurious. The spa was good but there were a few things observed that were below expected standards that could be improved quite easily.

Surprised my girlfriend with a stay here after getting engaged and absolutely loved it! Our stay was made extra special as they specially decorated the room with rose petals, banners and balloons for our engagement to celebrate.

A Jewel in the heart of Glasgow, fantastic Spa, staff and service

Lovely hotel but room was slightly tired and not as clean as we would have expected with dirty spills and stains on table legs and skirting boards beside the bed. Chipped woodwork etc in bathroom. We booked specially to take our baby in the pool having called in advance to check prior to confirming the booking but on arrival were told it wasn’t possible. The lady was lovely and apologetic offering a free round of drinks but it was really quite disappointing and meant we couldn’t use the spa/pool facilities as planned together instead having to take turns within the select hours available to hotel residents - also not as expected. It was supposed to be a bit of a treat and it just didn’t quite work out as I had envisaged. I used my hotels.com reward voucher towards it but had I paid the full rate I would have been pretty unhappy. Wonderful breakfast, beautiful decor throughout. Parking available nearby at a discounted rate. Approx £20 per day. Reception quite busy, had to call numerous times before someone answered. I think the hotel may have been busier than usual though. Staff all very friendly and professional. I would come back but I do think for the money there shouldn’t be any snags and the cleanliness should be tip top.
