Great place to stay for visiting kids at uni. Good value.

We were looking for a reasonably priced hotel, near to Weston Park Hospital. Halifax Hall was perfect - just 5 - 8 minutes away, quite (even though it is next to student accommodation) and with lovely food. Staff were always very helpful and polite. A good choice!

The room was too hot, despite the heating being off. Presumably adjacent rooms were overheated. The breakfast service was very slow and the bacon too tough to eat.

What a little gem . Love it

This hotel is set within the Endcliffe student village making it perfect for visiting my daughter. The staff were very friendly, the room was very comfortably. I had a meal in the bar area which was very tasty and the breakfast was fabulous. Couldn't fault the experience will definitely stay again.

A comfortable hotel in attractive grounds close to Sheffield University, to which it is affiliated. Good value and an excellent breakfast.

Stayed for a night. Lovely property situated near the university halls of residence. Cosy sized room but very impressive large bathroom with a roll top bath which we didnt expected. Rooms well stocked with tea, coffee and snacks with refill stations situated in the corridors and we were encouraged to help ourselves! Staff friendly and helpful, and even provided some drinks from the bar free of charge as we were celebrating our anniversary. Would definitely recommend and stay again

We absolutely love this hotel and try to stay here when we visit Sheffield. It’s a functional hotel and it works. Food is great as well.

Lovely hotel in peaceful environment of the University. Really good value which includes a fantastic breakfast. All staff are polite and friendly. Convenient to several beautiful towns in the Peak District by car.

Stayed here as a couple on Saturday 10th August. Room was ready early and although a little small it was clean and comfortable. Staff were excellent throughout and will definitely return at some point.

Very pleasant stay lovely rooms and food

Great hotel, friendly staff, and lots of dining options around. Quite close to Peak District. Area surrounding hotel is the University of Sheffield and it’s a gorgeous campus. Gets a little creepy at night but didn’t find it unsafe. Need to press the buzzer to take your car into the parking lot.

When we visit Sheffield, this is our first choice hotel. Staff are always helpful and friendly, the rooms are a good size and very comfortable. The breakfast is always good and the 'waiting staff' are always pleasant and helpful.

As always, hospitality is defined by the people who provide it. The hotel staff was magnificent in this regard. From the breakfast servers to the front desk, everyone was kind, helpful and wore a smile. A special mention for the cleaning staff who did an excellent job every morning. Breakfast was delicious with options such as eggs Florentine and eggs Benedict, although as a continental European i would have liked to have seen some cheeses at the buffet. What else is there to mention? Free parking, quiet surroundings, the grand manor lies within a well kept garden, good size room with comfortable bed. I will definitely stay in this hotel again on my next trip to Sheffield.

Was a great hotel spacious room beautiful Bathroom they had some nice touches with the espresso and refills. The menu looked nice, but the food wasn’t fantastic. I would definitely stay there again.

Good overall stay, everything we needed. Reception team are friendly and helpful. Second morning breakfast was a little unorganised, needed replenishing, tables needed clearing and cups missing. Hot Breakfast was tasty and well presented.
