Nice hotel bit parking was an issue. There was no garage, only street parking and a lot across the street. The restaurant was too expensive.

I love the history of the property and skywalk access to river center.

Love this hotel. Small issues. Maid service in room next door woke me up. Very loud talking and laughing. Room was clean. A few long hairs on bathroom floor were not mine. Nothing serious. Will stay here again

The staff was exceptional, but the property could use some dates. The room seemed to be outdated. The chairs in the room were old and damaged on the seats. The carpet was old looking.

Stupid sign saying no pictures in lobby..no help with luggage at check in or out.

Very clean and a grand lobby

The historic Bentley in downtown Alexandria holds many memories for all who grew up there. Now when I visit Cenla, it is my favorite place to stay. Still maintaining all of the historic beauty that it is famous for.

NO amenities other than a restaurant and vending machines. Ceiling paint was peeling. Registration was like checking at a bank.

Beautiful hotel! Bed was so comfortable! The only thing I was uncomfortable with is I felt unsafe, as a single women with a infant, walking into the hotel at night.

The property was absolutely beautiful. Loved everything about it. Staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely go back.

It was super comfortable

Loved staying here. The brunch was amazing, the room was comfortable & updated enough to maintain the historic charm yet allow for modern conveniences.The downtown area was slightly rundown and we felt nervous walking to & from our cars but had no negative encounters.

This is a beautiful hotel. Loved the interior lobby area. The room was okay. Nothing fancy. The evening check in person was not very helpful. It was an okay experience.

I love historical hotels. It was perfect for the quick trip to Alexandria. I will be staying there again.

Beautiful historic hotel

Beautiful hotel that captures the beauty of an era long gone. The architecture has been maintained beautifully. Not a good hotel for people with mobility issues because you will have to take some stairs to enter and exit. Also, no safe parking. Only on street parking or riverfront parking. Good luck if there is an event. Also, they have a valet entrance but no notices that valet not available anymore. A sign would be nice.

The property was elegant and clean. The night staff was friendly helpful, and professional. The morning checkout staff was not friendly or amicable. I was disappointed that the property did not have onsite parking. The parking available was street parking or in the city parking lots.

Front desk staff were remarkable. However, the cleaning staff were a bit rude. I was late getting ready and hit the checkout time and they became upset. Not the mention the water smelled.

Very nice place, love the history and classiness of the building/decor. Would love to stay here again!

Very cool classic hotel

Nice hotel, you could see how it was a top notch hotel back in the day.

It’s an older property, everything still works. Charming in a very antique kind of way. Staff was lovely.

This is a BEAUTIFUL historic hotel. The price was great! However, the halls are dim, the walls are thin, carpet needs cleaning, and the paint needs refreshing. We stayed on a holiday weekend. Maybe it’s better during regular business hours, but it almost seemed too quiet… a bit abandoned (in general, even with our rowdy neighbors). The place has so much potential. The air conditioner is ice cold in the room, and the bed is very comfortable. Unfortunately, we could hear our neighbor’s tv blaring and they had a very large dog that barked every few hours throughout the night. The carpet had “spills” here and there and our bedspread had something black on it. The bathroom seemed very clean. It’s downtown Alexandria. I’d recommend pepper spray and keeping with a group even in the hotel. My hope in writing this review is that someone will make the necessary changes to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for guests. My recommendations from a guests POV: 1. Safety: Outside doors need to be key access entry only. 2. Comfort: Workers should be stationed at each door to greet the guests. 3. Comfort: And it would be a good idea to space out the guests in the rooms since the walls are so thin. This place has so much untapped potential!! Hopefully, it was an off weekend and it’s not usually like this. Future guests, your experience may be better than mine!

It was a very charming hotel. I was on third floor. The outside of my window view was not good but everything inside was excellent, comfortable, and quiet bathroom very clean. I would go back again. There is an actual jeep in the hotel from the war era. It is in the old downtown area. I didn’t see a lot of eating places around by me.

Great stay for a trip to LCU

Loved the hotel, gorgeous. Disappointed that their restaurant was not open. Still had a great time. Directly across the street from a art museum.
