Valet parking is a nuisance. I like to come and go as I wish with the valet parking you have to go to the front and they have to get your car every time it’s annoying and that comes even with a $19 fee.

Great service! Rooms were clean and a good size for a family. The breakfast was great! The staff was nice. Would definitely stay there again! Kids loved it.

The room was clean, spacious and cosy. The bathroom was spacious as well. We enjoyed the stay and would definitely come back if we're in Santa Cruz again.

One of the most spacious rooms I've ever stayed in. Normally you would have to pay suite prices, but their regular King room, which included a sitting area with fold out couch and lots of floor space. Very clean and comfortable. The included breakfast was typical hotel fare, but a wide variety of options, and they seemed to try harder in presentation. Being a 10 minute walk from downtown Santa Cruz was very convenient. Would definitely stay here again.

I reported that TV didn't work. We made it work...gave us time to communicate as a family and sleep without the blue lights....lol.

Loved staying here. Props to the valet gusy ->Very friendly and informative about the area!! Rooms r super clean and felt new. Front desk was super accommodating. Pool and spa was a fav for my daughter and her friends!! Highly recommend this place!!

Very comfortable room and bed; very helpful staff; great breakfast. The only thing is, be aware there is ONLY valet parking, for an extra $18 per day (not counting tip for valet of course). No self parking.

Over all a five, however, direct tv was unreliable. Finally came on but for a short time. Reported to front desk, but no one showed up. Next day direct tv was available for short time. Not sure about daytime since not in the room. Pm was problematic.

Nice, clean, new hotel. We were pleasantly surprised with the comfort of the room, pool facilities, and breakfast in the AM. We would definitely stay here again.

Pleasant, helpful staff. Nice location. Clean, quiet and safe.
However, the eggs on the breakfast buffet are in cubes and gross. The bacon pan and condiments were empty. If the service is advertised as open until 9:30 am then the food should be available until 9:30.

I like this as a place to stay in Santa Cruz. It”’s central and easy to drive to stuff. You can walk to the beach/pier but it’s not that close. The rooms are clean, pool is nice, staff good. It’s $19 to park and the breakfast is not high- quality.

Loved the pool and hot tub, room was immaculate and huge, breakfast was better than expected. The surrounding neighborhood isn't super scenic but it's an easy 15 minute walk to downtown shopping/restaurants. Would definitely recommend / stay here again!

Staff was excellent, especially the valet. They were funny, friendly, fast and efficent. Front desk people were very nice as well. This was the quietest hotel I have ever stayed in. I appreciate that so much. The room was beautiful, clean and very spacious.We did not use the amenities. We leave for the day and do sightseeing, but the pool area was beautiful with people were using it. The breakfast was good as well. Nice hotel!!

The hotel is okay, not great for a Hyatt. I picked to stay here because it’s a trusted nice place. First, the shower barely works and the water is clogged so you stand in your dirty water. There is a huge gap under the door, so you can hear everyone passing by all night. The blackout curtain was broken, but I was able to fix it. I also wish I had picked another location. We are up against the street and so we heard loud cars all night. Needless to say we did not sleep well.
On the positive, the breakfast was what you would think it would be. The beds are comfortable and clean.

The hotel was good but the service was unwellcoming, except the guys at the entrance "the valle". The staff in the receptiin made us feel uncomfortable and like it is a burden for them to answer.

This hotel is conveniently located near the Santa Cruz Board Walk and beach, about 1.5 miles. It is very clean with very friendly staff. The valet parking is easy and fast. It is also next to an amazing Chinese restaurant (highly recommended). The only issue we had was the noisy AC at night that kept me awake :(.

I was really surprised at how good value this place was.
My only complaint is that there was a lot of road noise (we had a room on the third floor, at the side).
No vending machines but a 2 minute walk will get you to 7-11 or Chevron for snacks.
Would absolutely stay here again.

Everything was great except the sound proofing. One side you have to deal with passing traffic, the other side with screaming kids at the pool. I advise getting a room facing pool bc at least that closes @ 10pm.
