Wisestay is close to the city centre, it's a 5 minute walk. The staff are friendly and helpful and the room was clean and tidy. Great for a weekend break.

The property was clean and well equipped, and the shower was good. It was noisy however - the walls are thin, and much detail of our 'neighbours', both to the side and above could be heard. I would, however book again, and hope it was a little less noisy.

Nice, an area slightly out of city centre so may want to head back before it gets too dark, but great for the price.

No heating at night

We stayed as a family of four in the XL bunk bed room. The room was spacious, clean, and the beds were comfy. The room is next to the front door so can be a bit noisy but you expect a certain amount when in a hotel. As per other reviews the walls are a bit thin, but I would stay again.

Tiniest room I've ever stayed in but fine for little me for three nights as overlooking river and just a few minutes walk into city centre.

Wise Stay staff allowed us to leave our suitcases in their care while we spent time touring Cardiff city center after we checked out. We are grateful for their kindness!

wonderful little gem right next to the river, 5 minutes to city center. Lovely rooms, very comfy bed, really nice staff. Very thin walls - be prepared to sometimes wake up if you are a light sleeper. (I am though and would book again nonetheless).

Great room, few minute walk to city centre, easy check in with code to get into rooms. Cleaned each day with fresh towels. All round great stay.

Decent cheap place to stay for the night but the double bunk beds were really rickety and difficult to sleep on the top. Otherwise clean and in a great location.

Tiny room but clean and on good condition for the most part. Unfortunately the shower didn't work at all - not a drop. And nobody responded to our help request, so I'm afraid I can't recommend it.

Still very good, but room was much smaller than any I had on my many stays before COVID. Very convenient location, as long as you don't have. to worry about parking.

Property amazing, would highly recommend

First lets talk about the bed. The bed was succulent, clean and extremely comfy. I slept so so good. Room was really clean and tidy. Bath and shower very clean. Staff very accommodating. I got to check in 2 hours earlier and they were able to accomodate me. I had pre-informed them though and so they were expecting me at the time. There was someone to receive me when i arrived even though i had the check in instructions. Its very walkable from Cardiff central. About 8 minute walk. If i have to visit again, i will definitely stay again.

The rooms were clean. The first night we were upstairs, and we had trouble with the stairs, so they gave us a room on the ground floor. Most valuable was the help we received from the staff with our internet and GPS.

The Anchorage Guest House is just a 5 minute walk into Cardiff centre and just across the river to the best stadium in the world. The Anchorage is being renovated at the moment and the room was decorated to a high standard. Everything was great.

The Anchorage was a very old Victorian multi level guest house. It was literally opposite Cardiff city rugby clubs ground. You could walk to Cardiff central in about 7 minutes and easy to find. When emailing staff re booking account and later on in the day alterations I had to make, by the time I got to Anchorage they had received my email and had already agreed to re-imburse me for the nights I had to cancel, all I had to do was contact Expedia which was easily done. I loved my single room as it was clean, fresh, bright with a lovely window. The only thing I did not like about the Anchorage was the thick carpet - but that would not stop me staying there again

Great location and value for money, friendly staff and no problems with checking in having phoned ahead to advise we would be arriving later than expected. The only downside was that the room was very hot and no way to turn the radiator down - still slept fine, though, as the bed was comfy even when lying on top of the duvet!!

A nice, spacious room with en suite facilities, pleasing decor and, most importantly, very clean. Excellent location - close to the river, stadium and the station.

For context, I'm a young female solo traveller. Nice place, a bit run down, but safe and very clean. There was a friendly dog in reception on my way out, I loved that :) ! I checked in after 6, so got in by a code, it was no hassle. Some guests smoked out the windows in the shared bathroom, but that's a reflection on them not the guest house, the bathroom was super clean anyways. There was coffee outside reception in the morning, which I only saw on my way out. Guys in the rooms next to me were a little noisy, so I used ear plugs, slept like I was coma. Would for sure stay again, it wasn't perfect, but jesus it was good for £28 a night!! I usually stay in hotels, so I kind of have high expectations for places I stay, I'm not one to just risk anywhere. So if you're like me, I think you'll like it here!
