The room was never cleaned the entire stay other peoples belongings left the bathroom.dirty shower curtain and hair in the shower...my son was going up to the room and when the elevator door opened two people were having sex in the elevator.

The Pool room and water was very dirty all weekend, never cleaned, no towels, and my son got a rash from the water i do believe. About 30 teenagers swimming one night and the chaperones were drunk and letting them be unruly. No one said a word. The breakfast cost 12$ and it was worse than a free breakfast anywhere ive ever been. Service employees were rude and grumpy

Enjoyed my stay for my daughter’s college tour nearby. The only downfall there was no iron in the room upon arrival . That was quickly resolved. The only other thing was that the TV didn’t work for the two nights I was there. I called the front desk and they said someone would come up and they never did.

Our room was clean and nicely designed. Unfortunately the water pressure in the shower was bad and we kept getting woken up by the blinking light from the smoke detector/sprinkler on the ceiling. Also, no options from the menu were available for breakfast due to someone “calling in”.

Seemed to be very modern and clean.

Past reviews almost steered me away from a really good place to stay. Pretty new.

Good news - when I checked in, my key worked. Bad news - there was a guy in the room. Unpleasant shock for each of us.

It’s a nice hotel so far. We haven’t had any issues with the staff or the booking process and the whole facility has been clean so far.

I stay here fairly often and am always pleased.

We stayed three nights. Upon arrival to our room # 314, we noticed the following: 1. There was leftovers in our refrigerator. Two sandwiches. 2. There were no coffee cups for the complimentary coffee in the room. 3. There was no body wash (soap) in the shower. The container was empty. 4. No one provided fresh towels during our 3 day stay. 5. The second day of our stay the toilet would not flush. All of the items were mentioned to the staff who were very nice and listened to our complaints BUT nothing was done. NOTHING I repeat NOTHING WAS DONE to correct these issues. Extremely disappointed. Never again!

The property is fine but somewhat off of the beaten path. No complaints except for me, it is a bit pricey to just use as a bedroom for 7 hours a night and nothing else. As a vegan they do not offer much of anything that fits my wants or that could be built into a meal.

For the most part, I quite enjoyed my stay. The room was very large and comfortable and with the exception of one bug I found in the bathroom very clean and all the employees that I spoke to were very helpful and polite. Unfortunately, one of the elevators wasn't working for one of the days I was there and there were some noisy children on my floor but I guess that's to be expected. All in all I would stay there again.

This is my go to hotel when visiting my daughter at WMU. Staff has always been very friendly. Location is convenient and parking is great. Rooms are comfortable and clean. My only complaint would be the shower doors are SO heavy and sometimes difficult to move. Otherwise, great stay!

Busy weekend in Kalamazoo and they only had one person working the front desk. Had a line out the door. The manager came out to help with something, helped then disappeared. Lobby was busy, person at the counter kept interrupting check ins to ring people up for drinks and snacks. Rather then finishing with the person who was there first. Elevator was out of service. Stairs are only available by accessing outdoors.

Our room wasn’t available for check in but then it was, only one elevator was working and they ran out of clean towels but other than the hotel was clean and sufficient for our stay.

We were charged a fee for extra people. 2 adults and 2 kids in a room with two beds. Thats not extra. I tried to get this fixed and holiday inn said they don’t even have a charge like this and this is a fee Expedia charges? We found adult ticks crawling on the bed. The elevator was broken and you had to go outside to use the stairs. The pool had been broken and was cold. We wont be booking through Expedia or using the holiday inn again.

Property a bit “worn”. Larvae of some creature on the walls, crumbs, hair and other stuff under the bed.

This property was convenient and affordable for our stay. I would stay again

Check in is easy

This was my 2nd time staying at this hotel for work. What a difference a week makes?! This time around, the best attribute was the bistro, which was hospitable and pleasant. The food was okay, but the kind hospitality made the experience better. As for the room, there were so many disappointments. When my daughter and I initially entered the room, it looked like it was recently used as a break room or staff lounge. The small desk was pulled out between both beds with the chair behind it facing the door, a butt dent was noted on the 2nd bed, and a rubber glove was lying on the floor near the window. Since I had to prepare for work, I didn't bother calling front desk. Instead, my daughter and I used our own disinfectant products and sanitized the room to our comfort. Once done, we noticed a sizable beetle in our window. So, I took the critter out using my disinfectant spray and prayed it wasn't accompanied by family/friends. After learning I didn't have to report to work that night, my daughter and I decided to have dinner at the bistro. Her caesar salad was good, but my veggie wrap was okay. It was kind of bland. So, I ate half and decided to store the rest in the refrigerator in our room. Well, the next day, we went out for groceries only to learn the refrigerator has been broken the whole time. However, front desk moved rather quickly to replace it, which was really nice. It's hit or miss with any hotel nowadays. Not a bad spot, just time of day matters with hospitality.

So I took my 15 year old autistic son to holiday inn in Kalamazoo Michigan to go swimming however when I got there I learned that the pool was closed due to technical difficulties so we had to walk across the parking lot to the other holiday inn building and when I got there my key to get in the pool didn’t even work smh and because I went through hotels.com there was nothing they could do for me the staff however was very nice and gave me and my son free breakfast for our last morning there because I booked two night so at the end of the day I’ll never ever book another hotel through this company again

We were greeted at the door upon arrival, very secure atmosphere. All the workers were kind & accommodating. Pool is accessible and check-out is amazingly at NOON!!! We'll be back again.

I choose the hotel because of the Amenities and when I got to the hotel the Amenities were not available. There was no offer for a discount or no apology for the misconception. Other than that hotel was spacious and clean

Front desk clerk was nowhere to be found. Waited about 20 minutes with other guests and finally someone went to the hotel next door and got their front desk clerk to come over. Pool thermostat was broken so the pool was too cold for kids to swim in and thats the only reason we booked a hotel. Elevators were very dirty and one of two available was out of service.

Very quiet, NEWER, property. I never heard one other guest, good quality construction. I got a 2 room suite it has 2 tvs and lots of room. Highly recommended! Breakfast and dinner area with hot food available even though I didn't check it out. Its 1 mile from all major chain restaurants/stores including target (walkable)
