Very clean, comfortable bed. large room with water view. Breakfast was good but scrambled eggs were watery, offered limited fresh fruit. Waffle makers were nice. Coffee in the lobby 24 hrs. Busy due to the proximity to the airport. Shuttle service to the airport is convenient.

Staff was great

The staff was exceptionally friendly and professional. The facilities were clean, the food was good and the shuttle was prompt. My only wish would be for a shuttle to the MCRD base. If they had that, this would be the perfect hotel

Terrible Experience – Ants Everywhere! I recently stayed at the Comfort Inn, and it was an absolute nightmare. What started as a promising stay quickly turned into a disaster. After just a few hours in the room, we found ants crawling all over the dresser. I called the front desk, and while the staff member assured me they’d arrange a room change, they hung up without offering any follow-up or immediate solution. Given that it was 11:30 PM and both my two-year-old daughter and 11-year-old niece were already asleep, we decided to stay put and deal with it until morning. But the nightmare wasn’t over. The next night, my niece screamed after finding ants in her bed. When we inspected the room, we found ants not only on the dresser but also on our belongings and even in an open coconut water we had left on the counter. The room was infested—completely unacceptable for any hotel, especially one charging the rates they do. While one staff member later tried to be helpful, my initial interaction with another staff member made it seem like they just wanted us gone rather than fix the issue. In the end, I had to book a different hotel for $450 just to escape this nightmare. I’m beyond disappointed and would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Beds were ok, room smelled wet and was very humid. There was construction going on and the AC unit in the room was really loud. Location was good and close to everything but I wouldn’t stay here again because of the noise and musky room smell

Shuttle

First room they put us in smelled horrible and there was dog poop in the room. The next room had an air conditioner that was going out and made a horrible noise while we were trying to sleep.

Airport shuttle and airport was just mins away. Walkable area.

All very nice and good except the bathroom sliding door. No lock, not close properly make light, steam and smell going outside to the main room.

Everything was great

Very easy check in, parking was abundant we came back late a couple nights and still found parking. Breakfast was good and plenty available and stocked. Pool was clean and not over crowded.

This is our go to hotel in San Diego. Unfortunately, the breakfasts have declined to the level of terrible (unless you like grey hockey puck sausage patties). We will be seriously consider other options now.

room was clean, staff was professional proximity to the airport made the room a little noisy water pressure in the room was way too low, very difficult to get the shampoo out of my hair I also did not like the $20 per night parking fee

Convenient location

In general, since the pandemic, Hilton properties have been lacking. The state of the rooms, cleanliness, condition of the furnishings, mattresses, bedding quality and curtains have all gone down in quality and standards. The staff are pleasant and seem to want to do a good job, however, the facilities that I have stayed at over the past two years, under the Hilton banner, have displayed a marked down turn in their standards.

Great place to stay. Close to airport.

Arrived late at night. Called for the courtesy shuttle. Was asked to wait twenty minutes true to traffic. Shuttle never turned up. Called back. Was told the shuttle had stopped running. Carpet in the room was dirty and in need of a steam clean. Shower head pumped out very high pressure water. No control over the flow. Acceptable for adults not kids though. Shower curtain too short and could not keep water off the floor. Had a pillow with small blood stains on it. Wanted to get a bit of water at the coffee station in the morning. Big tank of water was empty. Eventually got some though. Overall got the feeling the place was not being run particularly well. Not awful but definitely not worth what I paid for it

The highlights of the hotel is the pool and complimentary breakfast. Beddings was itchy, my husband got a few bites on his legs and neck. Could have dusted in the room better. Housekeeping is only offfered if you give them one day in advance notice.

Good quality, Hearty breakfast available and at a nice time span. Very clean, felt safe and close by most things. Uber rides to zoo about $20-$25. Double that coming from zoo around rush hour 5pm traffic.
