Beautiful home that accommodated 7 adults nicely. Loved hearing the seagulls in the morning! Easy access to the beach & High St where buses got us to Edinburgh & other points easily. Our host Patrick responded quickly to our questions. We truly enjoyed our stay & hopefully will have an opportunity to return!

Amazing location, clean, responsive host.

My American cousins and I had a wonderful 3 nights in Edinburgh, finishing off our road trip round Scotland. The house suited our needs perfectly and Rosalyn was lovely and very helpful. The only slightly down side was a rowdy party by some neighbours which spilled out onto the street quite late, but that was quite beyond anyone's control. Leaving milk in the fridge for us was a thoughtful touch.

We had a great stay, the location of the property is absolutely brilliant, with both the gorgeous beach and the lovely high street of independent shops of Portobello right on the doorstep. We did, however, feel that the quality of the accommodation and the level of the furniture and fixtures did not live up to the premium price tag. Overall I would still recommend this as a good place to stay, and a few small changes and improvements (which I will provide separately to the host) will potentially make it great!

Overall nice stay found house getting a bit tired needs TLC ,garden furniture in need of replacement Was told furniture is being changed that week but never happened ,parking is a problem

Great location, beach a couple of minutes walk away.

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this historic beach home in Portobello. We had wonderful weather during our stay. The house was well equipped with everything we needed. We had plenty of space for 5 adults and one teenager. We were in walking distance to the beach, public bus, grocery, restaurants and shopping.

The property is incredibly spacious, clean, and truly feels like a home away from home. Being just 2 minutes away from the beach was a huge plus for my family visiting from the States. We loved being able to walk to the beach and nearby pubs. Initially, parking was a bit of a hassle, but we quickly adapted and even started having fun with it - I actually miss the parking game! There are parking options in the neighboring streets and near the beach. Despite having three cars, we always managed to find parking, although sometimes it required a 5-10 minute walk, which was good exercise. Patrick was extremely helpful and accommodating, allowing us to check in earlier, which was greatly appreciated. We also enjoyed pleasant conversations with Roslyn, our friendly next-door neighbor. The Sonos sound system was fantastic, allowing us to play music while cooking and having a great time. A big thank you to Patrick for making our stay absolutely awesome!

Came for the marathon, great location for transport, places to eat etc. House well equipped and comfortable. Lots of space to relax in the garden and the living room. Roz gave us a friendly welcome and we were very happy with our choice.

Great place but parking can be an issue since it's all street parking. We had a large van and it was difficult to find parking that could accommodate it. Also, this house is several stories with many steps, so wouldn't be ideal for those with mobility issues. Overall very pleased. There is a coop grocery story right around the corner, quite a few restaurants nearby, and the beach is a short walk away.

Lovely town home in Edinburgh, perfect for family of 6-8, 2 minute walk to beach promenade, 15 minute bus ride to Edinburgh city centre. Lovely neighborhood, highly recommend.

All is perfect is this house. Very good property, beds are very comfortable, big house. Easy to go to center with the bus. Really good communication with Patrick. We enjoyed our trip and would be very happy to come back.

This is a great house, with everything you could need for a short or longer stay. Really great location between the beach and the high street. The house is well heated and the kitchen very well stocked. Everything was clean. Nice little back yard with seating. Definitely recommended.

Beautiful home perfectly situated and elegantly comfortable. It was such a joy to stay at this lovely home. Every room is beautifully furnished and the owner clearly made sure to meet our every comfort. It’s close to the beach as well. We will be back!

Our family had a fabulous time. The house was spacious and fully equipped with everything we needed for our get together. Location is excellent, with only a 2 min walk to the beach, cafes and restaurants.

Beautiful big house with plenty of room that was in a great position between the center of Portobello high street and the beach. We had no trouble with parking, although it can be tricky, but luckily I knew the area already. Roslyn was very welcoming and happy to give out plenty of local information. Patrick was also super helpful and responded really quickly to any messages we sent. The place was really clean and very homely, a real bonus to be dog friendly too, we'd happily return!

Very clean. Four good size bedrooms. Comfortable beds. Hotel style linen and towels. Every utensil you could wish for in the kitchen. Lots of plates, cups and glasses. The house is located in residential street with on street parking. We had no difficulties parking in the street. The beach was a 5 minute walk away as was the bus stop for buses into the city. The bus no 26 left every 10 minutes and took us straight to Princess Street. We paid by tap and go using credit cards. We had a very enjoyable stay and this property fully met our needs
